This Jaguar XJS is currently undergoing an electric conversion at the customer’s request.

After being meticulously prepared and primed by our fantastic team, it’s now ready for the next stage – 3D scanning.

Every reference sticker you can see has been carefully placed throughout the engine bay. As you can imagine, this is a time-consuming process, but it’s an essential step to ensure the scan captures every detail with precision.

The data from the scan allows us to accurately measure the available space and design the components needed for a seamless electric conversion. It’s a fascinating blend of classic craftsmanship and modern technology, and we can’t wait to share more as this exciting project progresses. The distributor needs removing and stripping down, we are carrying out adjustments on the clutch stop, replacing bonnet straps and a check over. Jaguar XJC now has all the paint removed on the outer panels and engine bay. We have removed the metal around the rear wheel arches and lower panels Jct behind the doors.
The car is in really nice condition overall.
Before any metal repairs are carried out we have given it a coat of epoxy primer to seal and protect the bare metal.

Metal repairs are now well under way and looking fantastic.

That's all the windows, brightwork, lights and engine removed from the chassis No. 5 XJC. We've also removed the engine bay harness and given the car a really good clean.

Next we'll roll the car into our bodyshop next door where the lads will strip all the paint off the car to see what repairs are required before we pull the front and rear axles.

1975 Jaguar XJC 4.2L LHD Pre-Production model Chassis No. 5.

The car was purchased by its current owner mid 2025 and was used for a short period of time before coming to us for restoration.

The brief was to strip all exterior paint back to bare metal and carry out any repairs then a fresh coat of paint.
Strip all mechanicals, rebuild front and rear axles, all new brakes and an engine and gearbox build followed by fresh interior to bring this very rare and special car up to its best condition.

While the weather was nice earlier in the week we took the chance to bring out 3 of the Jaguar E-Type's currently going through restoration here at

All metalwork completed here in house, all paint prep and paint carried out here in house.

The Opalescent gold car is a RHD 1964 3.8 FHC being built to fairly standard spec with small upgrades like 4 pot calipers and vented discs up front, 2.88 diff ratio for better cruising, fitting a later all synchro 4 speed gearbox and A/C installed for more comfort during European tours.

The Green car is our modern take on the classic racing green with a little more sparkle!!! It's a LHD 1962 3.8 FHC with a highly tuned 3.8L engine, all synchro 4 speed gearbox and a 2.88 diff ratio, front a rear Fosseway performance big brake kit, will have Dunlop style wheel and will have a relatively racing style interior.

The Porsche Blue series 2 OTS had been off the road since 1984 and the lads in the body and paint shop have worked like absolute troupers to turn this car around so quickly!! This car is being built to fast road spec but with all the creatures comforts, possibly fuel injection, A/C, electric windows are a possibility....what this space!!
