AP RECOVERY

We received a phone call from one of our elderly customers who had unfortunately broken down.

We swiftly got into action and headed out to recover her vehicle.

On arrival, we noticed the wheel had been damaged, so we carefully loaded the vehicle and got to work getting her safely home.

But there was more to the story…

While we were dealing with the recovery, a pedestrian approached us and showed us footage of a lorry having to move the vehicle out of the way — causing further damage in the process.

The vehicle had unfortunately suffered additional damage, including a snapped steering rack.

Thankfully, we were able to help our customer by contacting the logistics company involved and assisting with the process of seeking compensation for the additional damage.

At AP Recovery, we don't just collect and deliver vehicles. We genuinely care about our customers and will always do what we can to help when things don't go to plan.

Whether it's a prestige performance car, a family vehicle, or a crash-damaged vehicle, we treat every vehicle with the care and respect it deserves.

A winch cable doesn’t just wind itself—getting it spooled correctly is key to a safer, smoother recovery.

Here’s a quick look at how we re-spool ours, keeping every layer tight, even and properly aligned. It may seem like a small job, but doing it right helps prevent tangles, uneven pulling and unnecessary wear when the cable is needed most. 👌

A few extra minutes now can make a big difference on the next recovery.

I’ve got to say, out of all the cars I’ve picked up over the years, this has to be one of my favourites. ❤️

I just look at it and think, this car has character. It’s got a few battle scars, a bit of history, and I reckon it could tell some pretty good stories if it could talk. 😄

There’s just something about old cars like this — they’ve got a personality that you don’t always get with the newer ones.

Definitely one of those pickups that makes the job worthwhile.

A big thank you to Ray’s Recovery for recommending us for this job. 👏

This is exactly what happens when recovery companies share jobs, help each other out and work together as a team. 🤝
