Another 2 Ford fiesta 1.0 ecoboosts in for wetbelt replacements. Very regular job for us now that so many of these are due replacement on age. Ford recommends 10 years or 100k - whichever comes first, although in reality 60k miles / 8 years is a more realistic advised change interval and most importantly regular oil changes.

2015 BMW 220i came in with a coolant leak from the engine. This was traced to the oil cooler / filter housing assembly which is located on the front of engine but not the easiest access. Upon removal is was clear that the seam had down out due to a failed seal retaining moulding. A new oil cooler assembly was fitted and problem solved.

2015 Ford fiesta ecoboost in for 'wetbelt' timing belt replacement. We do these very regularly and as usual full kit replaced including oil pump belt, waterpump and auxiliary belt, all oil strainer filters cleaned out along with all gaskets & seals etc.

2002 Peugeot Boxer motorhome in for a clutch replacement. Unfortunately a previous tyre fitter had cross threaded two wheel bolts into the hub unit destroying the threads. New clutch kit, hub fl**ge, wheel bearing and wheel bolts all fitted.

This week along with the regular day to day work we carried out another two Ford ecoboost wetbelt replacements. The first being a 2015 Ford ecosport that became due on 10 year age replacement interval even though it had only covered 44,000 miles. The old belt was cracking and starting to de-laminate so definitely in need of replacing. The second was a 2018 Ford Fiesta that had covered 43,000 miles which the owner wanted changed for peace of mind as the original belt was now 8 years old, this was a good call as the belt was showing some cracking. As always we replace the wetbelt kit, oil pump belt, auxiliary belt, waterpump, correct spec engine oil & filter and all genuine ford gaskets, seals, crank bolts etc are fitted. Both vehicle owners now have peace of mind knowing they don't have to worry about their timing belt for again for several years.

Another Ford Fiesta ecoboost in for 'wet' timing belt replacement. This 2016 car had covered 78k miles and the timing belt was caught just in time - belt was heavily cracked, de-laminating and the oil pickup in the sump had a large amount of belt debris in it. As with all our ecoboost wetbelt replacements we fit full new Dayco timing belt kits, oil pump belt, waterpump, auxiliary belt, genuine Ford crankshaft bolt, oil seals, rocker cover gasket, brake vacuum pump removed and cleaned along with oil & filter change using correct ford spec oil.
