A recent HGV recovery we attended involved a 2023 Renault heavy goods vehicle that had sustained significant damage to its tail lift equipment and rear body. The impact caused the structure to detach and hang dangerously from the vehicle, creating a serious safety risk.

Our team responded promptly to the scene. Using the underlift system on our HGV recovery unit, our operator carefully positioned the equipment back in place with our hydraulic boom and securely reattached it using chains, ensuring the vehicle could be recovered safely and efficiently.

The vehicle was then transported across the Solent to the operator’s requested destination without further incident.

Mechanical qualifications and experience previously working within a similar role and a suitable tool setup is essential for all applicants. MOT testing qualifications are advantageous however not essential for this position.
