Nothing spoils the interior of a classic VW GTI quite like a sagging headlining! 😩

A customer recently brought their VW Golf GTI to us after the original headlining had started to drop, making a real mess of the interior. We stripped out the old headlining, removed all of the tired original material, and completely re-trimmed it before carefully refitting everything to give the cabin a fresh new lease of life.

All of this was carried out during the recent heatwave, so working inside a black car certainly wasn’t the easiest job! 🥵 But the effort was well worth it, and the finished result completely transformed the interior.

Sometimes, preserving a true survivor means going far beyond the obvious. 👌

This beautiful Mk1 Golf GTI Convertible came into the workshop with an overheating issue. After stripping everything down, it quickly became clear why. Many of the cooling system components were still the original factory-fitted parts, and years of internal corrosion had slowly blocked the coolant passages and hoses, preventing the system from working as it should.

A big thank you to our good friends at , who supplied everything we needed to get this classic back on the road, including silicone coolant hoses, a new expansion tank, a water pump and the remaining cooling system components. After giving everything a thorough clean and fitting the new parts, she was back up to temperature exactly as she should be. 💪

It’s a real testament to how well this Mk1 has survived that so many of its original components were still in place after all these years.

⚠️ A close call that could have ended in a very expensive disaster… ⚠️

This VW Transporter came to us for an initial inspection after its new owner had recently purchased it and was told the cambelt had been replaced just last year.

Unfortunately, our inspection revealed a very different story. The cambelt had not been changed, the water pump was leaking, and to make matters worse, the guide pulley bolt had snapped.

Had this gone unnoticed, it could have resulted in catastrophic engine failure, turning an exciting camping trip into a recovery truck and a costly engine rebuild.

Another exciting transformation is underway! 🔥

Work has officially begun on this VW Transporter T4, and we’re giving it a whole new lease of life. Before the fresh paint can go on, we’re tackling the most important part of the job—cutting out the rust and welding in fresh steel to restore the bodywork properly.

No shortcuts, no covering it up—just quality metalwork and attention to detail to ensure this T4 is built to last. This is just the start of the journey, so keep an eye out for the next stages as we bring this classic Transporter back to its best.

Another one back to its best. 🔥

This classic Mk2 Golf recently came into the workshop for a full front-end refresh. We carried out extensive bodywork, including rust repairs, before preparing and repainting the complete front end, bonnet, and roof to bring everything back to a clean, factory-fresh finish.

Attention to detail is everything when working on iconic cars like this, and it’s always rewarding to see them leave the workshop looking their best.

Our client has got much more planned for this little gem and we can’t wait to see his vision come together.

Some classics never lose their charm. ✨

Last week we had this beautiful 1967 Beetle in the workshop for a brake upgrade, converting it to a Porsche stud pattern while retaining its drum brake setup. We also gave it a thorough inspection and health check.

This Beetle was lovingly restored around eight years ago, and it’s a real testament to the quality of the work that’s gone into it. As you can see, it’s still looking absolutely stunning today.

It’s always a pleasure to have classics like this through our doors. 👌

Another van has left the building! 🙌

This one came in for the full treatment: fully insulated, professionally ply-lined, and trimmed throughout in the transporter HQ Grey carpet for a clean, premium finish.
We also added LED lights to the tailgate, giving it that extra touch of practicality and style.

The UK heatwave is definitely testing us! 🥵🔥

Safe to say we’re all feeling it in the workshop at the minute. These photos show just how extreme the temperatures are—from a classic VW Beetle and a Tesla baking in the sun to our tyre changing area feeling more like a sauna than a workshop! 🌡️☀️

Despite the heat, the team are keeping hydrated, taking regular breaks where needed, and working hard to keep all of your vehicles on the road.
