Learn on the job with experienced Mechanics. Paid training, tools & support.

Mechanic Apprentice Responsibilities:
• Following company checklists to inspect and test vehicles.
• Performing standard mechanical repairs, such as changing brake pads.
• Learning repair techniques under supervision.
• Writing labour, time and parts cost estimates.
• Testing vehicles before and after repair procedures.
• Attaching car batteries to in-shop test devices.
• Maintaining workshop and customer areas and keeping inventory organised.
• Taking engines and car parts apart to perform inspections.
• Ordering new car parts by phone or online.

Mechanic Apprentice Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate/diploma in auto mechanics may be advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence & knowledge of manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong understanding of mechanics.
• Excellent customer service & communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Physically fit to stoop, crawl, work laying down, and lift heavy machinery.

We are now recruiting Vehicle Technicians and MOT here at MCP, West Byfleet on a permanent contract, with the potential to earn over £32k.
Salary £32k per annum. Working Hours: Full time - 39 hours per week Monday to Saturday. The Workshop is not currently operational on a Sunday.
Scheduled Saturday working will be required on a rotational basis,

The Role
With the opportunity to work on a range of makes and models of vehicle, there couldn’t be a better time to join MCP Ltd as a Vehicle Technician.
We are looking for professional vehicle technicians to perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles. As a team player who takes real pride in their work, you’ll be prepared to go the extra mile to ensure the job is done effectively.
As an experienced technician you will have your own personal toolkit equipped to undertake routine maintenance and repair of light vehicles. Specialist tooling and equipment will be provided for common use by everyone within the workshop.
Successful candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience and have worked on a wide range of vehicles.
