🔋 More power, more cooling. ❄️
This MAN TGE Adria Twin Max came to us for a serious lithium and air-conditioning upgrade before heading off on a European adventure.
We removed the factory-fitted adriamobil AGM batteries and installed:
⚡ 2x FogstarUK seat-base lithium batteries
⚡ Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT controller
⚡ Victron Energy Orion XS 1400 DC-DC charger
⚡ Victron Energy Multiplus-II 12/3000 Inverter & Charger
The van had also recently gained an inverter, but the installation had no fuse, no earth and unsafe wiring. It wasn’t simply untidy - it presented a serious risk of overheating, equipment damage and potentially an electrical fire.
We removed the entire installation and fitted a larger inverter properly, with the correct protection, earthing and cable management. Safe, reliable and installed as it should have been from the start.
Space was extremely tight, so careful planning was essential. Everything was installed while retaining the factory finish and providing the ventilation needed to keep the equipment cool and performing as intended.
Speaking of staying cool… we also removed the factory skylight and fitted a black Truma Aventa Comfort Gen 2 air-conditioning unit. It looks fantastic and will make those hot European summers considerably more comfortable. ☀️❄️
The van will be back with us in a couple of months for a new solar panel—but for now, it’s powered up, cooled down and off to Europe! 🌍🚐
