2016 Toyota Fielder 161,Engine # 2NR87###XX,VIN # NRE1618024717###X and Engine Capacity 1490cc.The customer had called us earlier for a no start issue with her vehicle.Arrived at her residence checked everything,tried starting it for myself,turns out that the battery was completely flat,since she had last used her vehicle 3 days prior.She told me that she was the first owner upon asking her questions,regarding the battery,also noti ed that it was more than 3 years old,luckily had a spare battery of the same amperage,swapped it and started the vehicle and showec her that ghere wss no check engine lights and nothing was wrong with the engine,since she was fearful of it probably getting bad.While the engine was still running,swapped back hef fully discharged 12volt battery into the engine bay,and told her to keep it running for 30 mins plus and see if the Alternator is able to charge it to operating voltage,for her to move around because it was the weekend, until she is able to buy one on Monday the following week.All good.

2007 Toyota Fielder 141,Engine # 1NZC87###XX,VIN # NZE1419056024###X and Engine Capacity 1490cc.Customer had approached us to fix the exhaust system of his vehicle which was making screeching metallic sounds,the factory thermostat was also removed and a genuine piece was installed.Some abnormal sounds were coming from the front suspension system,checked and noticed a worned out ball joint and linkage,bogh eere replaced with vehicle test driven with no more abnormal sounds.The fender mirtor had also broken off and gotten lost,the customer provided us with a replacement and we also had it installed,with a faulty rear left brake bulb replaced as well.All good.

2018 Subaru Forester, Engine # FB20YG###XX,VIN # JF1SK7KL5K######X and Engine Capacity 1998cc.The customer approached us regarding his vehicle whi h was experiencing electrical problems in the form of parasitic drain in its charging system (12 Volt battery).Every morning he will have to start up the engine with the help of a 12volt battery jumper pack because in the night before there would be a massive draw in the voltage causing the charging system to be not able to start the vehicle.A check engine light had also illuminated in the dash cluster set,once diagnosed a fault code P0137 (Oxygen Sensor circuit voltage low bank 1 sensor 2 was found,meaning the Oxygen sensor on the exhaust manifold was bad and needed changing.A brand new unit was bought and fitted,calibrated also.No.more check engine lights on that.The main parasitic drain diagnostics was done and 15+ DTCs were present for the AC (Air conditioner);B1430,B1434,B14A1,B14A2,B14E9,U0073,U0100,U0122,U0140,U0151,U0155,U0156,U0422,U0423 & U0457.A full electrical shorts check of both the engine bay fuse boxes were conducted,fuse box inside the cabin and the AC blower unit relays.Checks finally were done on the Climate Control Module,power was coming into it,but no power delivery was detected.It was conclusive that control module was indeed bad and was causing unnecessary draw from the 12volt battery.The unit was disconnected and customer was notified,and he has ordered a replacement unit,after which aircon gas can also be refilled after the necessary leak tests are done after the new module is fitted.There has since been no parasitic draw in the battery,vehicle starts normally every morning.Once the ac module arrives,than we will also patch up the leak in the washer reservoir.

Note : There is a caution sign in the dash for a faulty windshield washer system,which is from the leaking washer reservoir,once the leak is sealed up,the caution icon will disappear, that will be fixed too,once the replacement climate control module is replaced,with aircon gas filled as well,making the aircon system good again and functioning.

2005 Toyota Succeed,Engine # 1NZB5###XX,VIN # NCP510090320###XX and Engine Capacity 1490cc.The customer had called us a few days ago.His vehicle had a no start issue,ask ed him a few questions before departing to the breakdown as to be aware of what was actually causing that fault.Arrived at the breakdown and used a 12Volt battery jumper pack to start the vehicle,told him to have his 12Volt battery changed as soon as pissible,after the vehicle was up and running and adviced him ghat using a car battery for more than 2-3 years was not feasible.He was the first owner of the Recon/2nd hand Toyota Succeed in first andhis vehicle was on it's 3rd year with him.Customer bought the replacement maintenance 12V battery a few days later.

2009 Honda Insight,Engine # LDA20###XX,VIN # ZE21145333######X and Engine Capacity 1330cc.The customer had approached us earlier regarding the steering of his vehicle twitching forcelly by itself and causing the wheel to lockout on the driver's side prematurely everytime the vehicle is started and in centre position, a slight touch causes the steering to turn by itself at speed which had become a driving hazard.We were able to get a good quality 2nd hand Japanese steering Rack complete with its PAM (Power Assist Motor) attached to the replacement power steering rack. After yhe repairs,the vehicle was test dtive considerably and there was no further problems with the steering system(s) etc.The vehicle was also passed and fitnessed a few days after that for 1 more year.All good.

Note : Customer will drop off their Vehicle in the first week of February for the complete overhaul of the front suspension system, steering system and general engine servicing inclusive of spark plugs,valve cover gaskets,throttle body servicing as well,etc.

2014 Kia Rio,Engine # G4FACS3###XX,VIN # KNADN412ME######X and Engine Capacity 1399cc.Customer had called us earlier to inspect her vehicle,which had a dead battery and some problems to do with her steering.We arrived at her residence and were able to start her vehicle right up with the help of a 12Volt battery jumper pack,and checked ther cluster set,straight away we saw the steering fault checklight and by turning the steering around it became clear that the PAM (Power Assist Motor) was defective on the steering cloumn,causing it to lose its power steering capabilities.Her car's air-conditioning system was also defective,upon further checks we were also able to verify that the climate control module was also defective.We adviced the customer accordingly with parts to order which is the Power Assist Motor and climate control module,when ordered we will be able to repair it.

2009 Toyota Wish,Engine # 2ZR050###X,VIN # ZGE200037277###XX and Engine Capacity 1790cc.This vehicle was checked and test driven and the abnormal noise coming from the Transmission was deemed to be incorrect Transmission fluid type used with Transmission filter also needing to be changed.The thermostat was also deemed yo be stuck shut.The old thermostat was removed and tested and actually found to be bad,the wrong Transmission fluid wss drained and the old Transmission filter was removed,it was flushed and brans new genuine TC Transmission fluid and genuine filter was used for the Transmission. Took a test drive no more Transmission noises and possible engine overheating in the near future averted.Vehicle has proper upshifts and downshifts.

2011 Mazda CX3 Engine # ###....,VIN # ###..... and Engine Capacity ###Xcc.Customer had her vehicle serviced at a AMVD (Authorised Motor Vehicle Dealership) yesterday.The shop couldn't reset the Oil Light (General Servicing) so the owner sought our assistance in diagnosing the problem and resetting the vehicle's Oil Light to the next 5000Km.Vehicle was test driven,no Engine Lights etc at fault.All good.

2009 Toyota Wish,Engine # 2ZR050###X,VIN # ZGE200037277###XX and Engine Capacity 1790cc.The owner of this vehicle came to us earlier today for us to check a whining sound that he said was coming from the engine bay.We test drove the customer's vehicle,told him that the whining sound was from the Automatic Transmission and if any work was carried out on it,and he said that the trans fluid was changed by someone,the filter was not replaced.We will need to replace the transmission fluid again with genuine toyota wish trans fluid,filter will be replaced as well.When non genuine fluids are used it can cause gear whines and if overfilled or underfilled the same also.Told the owner that the thermostat will need to be removed and a genuine one to replace it,the plastic T-Junction pipe needs to be replaced as well.A repair and parts quotation will be given to the owner next week and work will be carried out after that.

NOTE:

Came across this accident,please do drive slowly and at right speeds on wet and slippery roads.Do not tailgate other drivers,for everyone's safety.

2007 Toyota Succeed,Engine # 1NZ48###XX,VIN # NCP5010182509###X and Engine Capacity 1490cc.The customer had called us yesterday afternoon with the vehicle having a No Start issue.He being the second owner and the vehicle having being worked on before with the previous owner.Coolant Temperature Sensor must be inactive thus the last person who worked on it directed the fan to ACC position on the Ignition key.By mistake the own had left the ignition on acc and that caused the battery to go flat.Managed to start the vehicle and adviced the owner that we will setup yhe wiring for fan to operate on ignition,thermostat will have to be removed and the T-Juntion plastic pipe for the radiator will have to be replaced.Trafficator signals will also have to be looked at.These work will have to be carried out next week.
