Customer Story β€” Ernest & Jocylin

πŸ’™ CUSTOMER STORY β€” FOUR VEHICLES, ONE FAMILY

Some customer relationships aren't about one vehicle β€” they're about helping people as their needs change over the years.

Ernest and Jocylin from Poplar River, Manitoba have now purchased four vehicles from me since 2023, and there's a story behind every one.

It started in 2023 with their first truck.

Then, while planning to travel across Canada and the United States, they wanted a comfortable second vehicle for the road and purchased a 2025 Ford Explorer ST.

But their plans grew. ❀️

They decided they wanted more room so they could bring their grandchildren along on their travels, so the Explorer was traded for something considerably bigger:

πŸš™ 2025 Ford Expedition Platinum MAX

More space, more comfort and room for the grandkids to come along for the adventure.

And now we've come full circle back to the truck.

There wasn't anything wrong with their 2023 F-150. Ernest and Jocylin simply decided they wanted more box space, so they traded their original truck for their newest purchase:

πŸ›» 2026 Ford F-150 XLT
πŸ“ 6.5-ft box

Vehicle #4 since 2023.

What I like about their story is that every change had a purpose.

From their original truck, to travelling in the Explorer ST, to making room for the grandchildren in the Expedition MAX, and now upgrading to an F-150 with the longer box β€” their vehicles have changed right along with their needs.

Ernest and Jocylin, thank you for continuing to put your trust in me and CreditHello. Four vehicles in just a few years is something I truly appreciate.

Congratulations on the new F-150, and here's to many more kilometres and adventures ahead! πŸ’™

πŸ’™ THAT’S A WRAP ON AUGUST!

What a month.

From helping customers into their next vehicles and welcoming back familiar faces, to trade-ins, new inventory, Morning Minutes, community events and a little Winnipeg car culture along the way β€” August was a busy one! 🚘

One of my favourite parts of looking back at the month is realizing that these posts are about a lot more than vehicles.

They’re about the people, the stories, the conversations and the communities we get to be part of.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who trusted us with their vehicle purchase, referred a friend or family member, stopped to say hello, watched a Morning Minute, commented on a post or simply followed along. We appreciate every bit of it. πŸ’™

And with August coming to an end…

πŸ‘€ September β€” we’re just getting started.

😴 SUNDAY MORNING MINUTE… A LITTLE LATER THAN USUAL! πŸ˜‚

It's my one day off this week, so I took advantage of it and slept in a little this morning.

But I couldn't miss our Sunday Did You Know?

β˜• Have you ever had a little coffee cup appear on your vehicle's dash telling you it's time to take a break?

No… your vehicle isn't telling you it's time for a Tim Hortons run! πŸ˜‚β˜•

On many newer vehicles, a Driver Alert System can monitor things like your driving behaviour and steering patterns.

If the system notices changes that could indicate it's time for a break, it may give you a warning or display that familiar little coffee-cup symbol.

It's one of those features that's easy to overlook until it suddenly pops up on your dash and you're wondering:

β€œOkay… what does THAT mean?” πŸ€”

And remember, driver-assistance technology is there to assist you β€” it's never a replacement for recognizing when you're tired and taking a proper break.

πŸŽ₯ Check out today's slightly-later-than-normal Morning Minute with Steven for the quick explanation.

πŸ‘‡ Have you ever had the coffee cup show up on your dash?

And is there another symbol, button or feature in your vehicle that you've always wondered about? Drop it in the comments β€” we might use it for a future Did You Know?

πŸ‘ Follow CreditHello;) for another quick vehicle tip next Sunday.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and drive safe! πŸš—

πŸ’° FINANCING TIP SATURDAY | Morning Minute with Steven

Where does your down payment actually go? πŸ€”

It's a question that can sometimes cause a little confusion when you're financing a vehicle.

A down payment isn't simply an extra fee you're paying on top of the vehicle.

πŸ‘‰ It's money you're putting toward the purchase, which reduces the amount that needs to be financed.

Here's a simple example:

πŸš— Vehicle price: $40,000
πŸ’΅ Down payment: $5,000

That means you're starting with $5,000 less to finance, before things like taxes, fees or other items in the deal are considered.

Depending on the situation, a down payment can help:

βœ… Reduce the amount being financed
βœ… Change the overall financing structure
βœ… Lower your payments
βœ… Potentially make a deal work better for the lender

But remember β€” every financing situation is different, and a larger down payment isn't automatically the right answer for everybody.

πŸŽ₯ Check out today's Morning Minute with Steven for the quick explanation.

πŸ’‘ FINANCING TIP SATURDAY
LOWER PAYMENT β‰  LOWER COST

When you're shopping for a vehicle, it's easy to focus on one question:

β€œWhat's my payment?”

But your payment is only one part of the financing picture.

A longer loan term can sometimes reduce your bi-weekly or monthly payment because you're spreading the amount financed over a longer period.

But that doesn't necessarily mean the vehicle costs you less.

When comparing financing options, it's worth looking at:

πŸ’° Payment amount
πŸ“… Length of the loan
πŸ“Š Interest rate
πŸ’΅ Total amount financed
πŸš— How long you plan to keep the vehicle

Sometimes a slightly higher payment over a shorter term may make more sense.

Other times, keeping the payment more comfortable with a longer term may better fit someone's budget.

There's no single answer that works for everybody.

That's why we don't like looking at just one number. We look at the overall financing structure and help you understand the options available.

Have a financing question?

πŸ“© Send me a message. I'm always happy to help explain the numbers.

πŸ›» FEATURED VEHICLE FRIDAY | Morning Minute with Steven

Why choose a Ford Ranger instead of going all the way up to an F-150? πŸ€”

The answer is pretty simple β€” not everybody needs a full-size truck.

The Ranger gives you that pickup-truck versatility and available 4WD capability, but in a smaller package that can be easier to:

πŸ™οΈ Maneuver around town
πŸ…ΏοΈ Fit into parking spaces
🌲 Navigate tighter trails
πŸ›» Use as an everyday vehicle while still having a truck bed when you need it

For a lot of drivers, the Ranger hits a really nice middle ground between everyday practicality and truck capability.

And that's really the point of today's Morning Minute:

πŸ‘‰ Sometimes bigger isn't necessarily better. It's about choosing the truck that fits how you actually use it.
