Not every used vehicle is a bad option. Sometimes you come across a truly good one — and in those situations, the most important thing is to make a decision quickly, negotiate properly with the seller, get a discount, and buy the vehicle with a full understanding of its condition, including all pros and cons.

In this case, the vehicle had a minor accident more than 5 years ago. Today there are no signs of rust, paint peeling, or repair issues, which shows the repairs were done properly and to a good standard. The mileage is very low for its age. It also comes with a new battery, plus both summer and winter tires that have only been used for one season each.

Yes, the engine oil should be changed — but that is normal for almost any used vehicle after purchase. Even if the oil looks visually clean, most sellers will not spend extra money on premium oil and quality parts before selling the car.

In the end, the client got a solid vehicle for a very good price. We fully handled and monitored the entire deal process, helped with negotiations, and secured a discount from the seller. As a result, even after paying for our services, the client still came out ahead financially.

🚨 Another vehicle inspection — and another reminder why you should NEVER rely only on the seller’s words.

A 2023 truck with low mileage came in for inspection.
Vehicle value: over $52,000 CAD.

According to the seller:
✔️ Never in an accident
✔️ Original paint
✔️ No issues at all

But the reality was very different…

🔎 During the inspection we found:

❌ Five panels had been repainted outside factory conditions
❌ The hood and one fender had been replaced
❌ The repair quality was honestly terrible

To notice the problems, we didn’t even need special paint thickness equipment.

The body shop didn’t even bother removing a factory sticker before painting — they literally painted over it.

And that was not all.

⚠️ One wheel out of four was different from the others, which can also point to previous damage or questionable repair history.

And the “cherry on top”:

⚠️ Engine misfires.

This was a V8 engine with a cylinder deactivation system designed for fuel economy and emissions compliance. Repairs on systems like this can become VERY expensive — even when people talk about “warranty.”

And honestly, this is the worst part.

Because:
❌ Paint may eventually peel
❌ Rust may start appearing later
❌ But engine problems can turn into major expenses very quickly

❗️Once again:
It does not matter if the seller is a private owner or a dealership.

Do not make decisions based on emotions.
Do not trust words alone.
Inspect what you are paying for.

If the seller wants to check your financial situation before approving the sale — then you absolutely have the right to check the actual condition of the vehicle before buying it.

And once again — real facts that Carfax could not show.

A client contacted us because:
📉 Carfax did not confirm the low mileage — simply not enough data in the system.
📸 Interior photos looked suspicious — didn’t match the claimed mileage.

But diagnostics revealed the truth:
✅ Mileage confirmed through vehicle control modules — matches the seller’s statement.
The reason Carfax had no records:
➡️ the car had only one owner
➡️ it was serviced only at a single dealership, which didn’t upload data into Carfax.

Here’s what we reported to the client:

🔧 Body condition:
Roof and hood repainted — professionally, no accident signs.
No rust.
🧭 Mileage:
Real, confirmed via diagnostics.
🛠 Engine:
The ticking noise really sounds like a lifter, not a rocker — not a critical issue.
⚠️ Dashboard light:
It was the stability control activity indicator, not a fault.
No error codes in the stability system.
🚘 Brakes & Tires:
Fresh tires
Good brakes

🔍 Conclusion: the car turned out to be much better than it looked in the photos, and the client received solid confirmation before buying.
