🚨 HAVE YOUR N? THIS IS A BIG ONE.

Starting October 19, 2026, B.C. is changing the way Class 7 (N) drivers move toward their Class 5 licence.

And yes… the second road test is going away. 🚗💨

Instead of passing another road test to leave the Novice stage, your eligibility will be based on a Driving Record Assessment.

But here’s the part that can be confusing:

👉 Not everyone with an N automatically gets Class 5 on October 19.

Your eligibility depends on factors including your age, how long you’ve been driving as a Novice, and your driving record.

Already have your N and meet the requirements? 👀
Some current Class 7 drivers will receive a one-time automatic upgrade when the new rules take effect.

And if you received a letter about the changes, keep it! It explains how the transition applies to your situation.

📌 No second road test doesn’t mean “no requirements.”
It means the way you progress to Class 5 is changing.

Confused about what happens to your licence? That’s understandable — there are different timelines and restrictions depending on your situation.

💬 Send VanCastro a message. We’ll help you understand what the changes mean for you.

📲 Save this post.
👥 Share it with someone who has an N.
👇 And tell us: Did you know the second road test was being eliminated?

Today is a day to listen, learn and reflect. 🧡

On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the families and Indigenous communities who continue to carry the impacts of this history.

Reconciliation is not something that belongs to a single day. It requires listening, learning, respect and a commitment to moving forward with greater understanding.

Today, we encourage our community to take time to learn, reflect and listen to Indigenous voices.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

🚨 WAIT… YOU CAN TAKE THE ICBC KNOWLEDGE TEST FROM HOME NOW?! 💻🚗

Yes! If getting your B.C. driver’s licence is on your list, one part of the process just got a whole lot more convenient.

The ICBC Knowledge Test is now available online, which means you can complete the written test from home using a computer — no trip to an ICBC office just to write the test. 🙌

Here’s what you should know before you start:

💳 The test costs $15
⏰ Once registered, you have 72 hours to start it
💻 You’ll need a desktop or laptop, we**am, keyboard, mouse and stable internet connection
🧠 There are 50 questions
✅ You need 40 correct answers to pass
⏱️ You have 45 minutes and the test must be completed in one session
📵 No phone, notes or outside help — it’s a monitored test

Passed? 🎉 Not quite done yet!

You’ll receive confirmation from ICBC, but passing the online test doesn’t mean you can start driving immediately.

You’ll still need to visit an ICBC Driver Licensing Office to complete the licensing process, provide the required identification, complete the vision screening and any other requirements that apply to your licence.

And then comes the part we really care about… 👀

Knowing the rules is step one. Knowing how to apply them behind the wheel is step two. 🚗💨

That’s where VanCastro Driving School can help.

📌 SAVE this post if getting your B.C. licence is in your plans.
📲 SHARE it with someone who still thinks the Knowledge Test has to be done at ICBC.
👇 And tell us: Did you know you could take it online?

Some moments are just worth posting twice. 💛🚗

Yes, you’ve seen this face before. 😏
Yes, we already celebrated this PASS.

But when you have the video of the moment too… how are we NOT supposed to share it?! 😂

Because passing your road test isn’t just about getting a licence.

It’s the nerves before the test.
The hours of practice.
The mistakes you learned from.
The confidence you built along the way.

And then finally… PASSED. ✅

So yes — we’re celebrating this one AGAIN. 🎉

And if you’re currently watching other people get their licence thinking “I want this to be me…”

Maybe it’s time. 👀

📲 Message VanCastro. Your turn could be next.
