Requirements:
• 5+ Years’ Experience (If less, please prepare a portfolio of your
past work for review)
• An excellent knowledge of auto mechanics, and ability to operate
all necessary tools
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Confident working independently without supervision
• Excellent customer service and time management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to do basic math, read gauges, and understand readouts on
diagnostic equipment
• Extensive understanding of repair equipment and how vehicles
work
• Strong knowledge of engine and transmission to repair and replace
• Leadership abilities - may be an asset

Job Duties may include:
• Repairs and Installation
• Prepare quotes and estimate cost of repair(s), and plan work to be
performed.
• Recording maintenance requests and customer reports of issues
like excessive engine noise or poor handling
• Keep track of work performed with accurate records
• Ability to detect and identify engine and handling noises
• Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting any problems
• Using electronic diagnostic equipment to find issues quickly
• Minor adjusting alignments* and suspensions when needed
(*alignments are out sourced)
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper
handling.
• Clean and maintain equipment and tools
• Abide by safety policies and procedures
• Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients, as needed
• Restock inventory, and reorder supplies and products when needed
• Develop and maintaining good relationships with customers
• Manage and mentor apprentices (if an apprentice is hired)
• Complete performance evaluations for employees (if an apprentice
is hired)
• Provide feedback to employees and answering questions to
improve productivity (if an apprentice is hired)
Physical Requirements:
• Light to Medium Work: May include, exerting up to 25 pounds of
force frequently and 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a
negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry,
push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

• Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements or motions of
the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. (Grasping/Fingering/Feeling)
• The worker is subject to cold temperatures, and indoor/outdoor

ambient noise level.

conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving

odours, dusts, mists, or gases etc.
