Central Alberta Raceways Motor Sports Park project located by Rimbey, Alberta, Canada. Following is a brief history of where we have been and where we are going.

In the early 1980’s the Rimbey Kinsmen started a demolition derby. As being recognized as one of the best demolition derby’s in Alberta the pressure was on to develop a larger and better facility. A group of enthusiasts was formed and came forward with a plan to not only build a demolition derby but build a full Motorsports Park that included a 1/4 Mile Drag Strip, Race Oval, Demolition Derby, Mot

ocross Track, Mud Bog and more. This dedicated group of car enthusiasts worked with the Rimbey Kinsmen and the Town of Rimbey to start the development of the Rimbey Kinsmen Motorsports Park. With the community's full support the committee began work and the vision became reality. With the help of many volunteers, corporate and private donations the project took off. The community has contributed considerable time, equipment, material and expertise to complete what has been done to date. This includes site design, construction of the Lonkar Dirt Oval, Motorcross track, mud bog and over 50,000 cubic meters of base work on the 1/4 Mile Drag Strip (currently an 1/8 mile track) and additional developments still ongoing. This is an exciting project as we bring to Alberta 80 acres of pure horsepower. We are committed to building a premium motor sports park that will be second to none and enjoyed by all for years to come.

Hello Everyone-Attention Drag Racers - message from Pete Gillis Our next 6.0 Pro event is this weekend July 11-12 at Central Alberta Raceways
Rules are as follows;

Manual throttle stops are allowed must be set prior to entering water box
Timed down track throttle controlling devices
are prohibited
Timed ignition interruption devices (stutter boxes) prohibited. Starting-line and/or “high-side” rev limiters permitted. Two-steps, rev limiters, or any other rpm-limiting devices, legal unto themselves but altered or installed so as to function as a down track rpm controller, prohibited. A low setting on an “over rev” limiter will act like a down track limiting device and therefore an electronic tuning device.
The use of any programmable multi-point rev limiter and/or a rate-of-acceleration rpm limiter, either by themselves (i.e., MSD 7561, MSD 7761) or integrated into the ignition system (i.e., MSD 7531), is prohibited .
Delay boxes are permitted
Auto shifters are permitted
We will have 2 qualifying runs during time trials all rounds will be laddered pro style based on qualifying position
The entry fee is an additional $100 with 100% paid back to 1st and 2nd on a 70/30 split
