Ac season is interesting sometimes. Still not sure why the expansion valve was called it working. We don't see any leaks as of yet. But you never know. The customer is going to bring it back in a couple days for a recheck for leaks.

This thing was destroyed. Aside from the engine, both turbos were wrecked due to no oil. The starter was melted down from the customer repeatedly trying to start a locked up engine, vacuum pump, roller for the high pressure fuel pump. You name it. It likely got replaced.
Not the job the customer wanted to deal with.
Bit we did get it fixed for them.

Savana lost its drive gears. 6l90 problems. We cleared the cooler. Installed a gm reman and programmed it to its new home.

Labscope testing for a starter problem. Hard to hear but the starter is only clicking. The starter motor isn't spinning, however drawing 2 to 400 amps when it doesn't engage.
The pattern changed when the starter actually worked. The pattern tells alot when you understand it. Peak draw. Integrity of the internals when its spinning, etc.
Some will say the scope is overkill. That maybe true. But its an invaluable tool when it comes to diagnostics and getting the full picture.
