On behalf of Cory, Western, and the Special Olympics Fundraiser, we would like to thank everyone for bailing Cory out of jail on Thursday. He needed to raise $500, and thanks to your generosity, more than $2500 was donated!

The support from this community is outstanding, and we are honored to contribute to such a great organization. Tanner Scanlon was once the swim coach for the younger kids, which makes this especially meaningful. This is truly amazing!

Remember to slow down in school zones! We all want our little ones to be safe!

Reminder: The school zone speed limit is 30 km/h and is in effect Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This applies even if you don't see children immediately present.

The Nelson Police Department has increased its presence around school zones and are actively enforcing speed limits during these hours.

Please slow down, stay alert, and drive with extra caution near schools.
