🚫 EXTENDED Closure Notice: Gyro Park 🐻

For your safety and the well-being of our furry neighbours, the City of Nelson is extending the closure of Gyro Park due to increased bear activity.

There are now 7 black bears regularly visiting the park.

We are working with WildsafeBC and Conservation Officers to mitigate any risks to the public.

Please avoid entering the park for the time being. These bears are simply going about their natural behaviour, and we need to give them space and respect their habitat. With snow on the horizon, they should be heading to the dens in the next few weeks.

Note: With Halloween next week, please keep in mind that pumpkins and sweets are attractants. 🎃

Ensure you are bringing in your Halloween pumpkins in the early evening every night. 🎃

Sorry to say, but summer is coming to the end shortly. Start thinking about your Fall clean-up on your vehicles ready for winter. We do get very busy, so book ahead to avoid a 3 week wait for your appointment.

We are now booking into May for big jobs. A few openings for smaller jobs. Ie no shampoo on interiors and exteriors. When the streets get cleaned we will 4 weeks ahead with bookings . Get booked in.

As stated before we are getting busy, today alone up to 12 noon we have taken 16 bookings. Here we go in to our crazy season. Get your vehicle booked in even if it's a few month's ahead.
