There are cars that pay tribute to history, and then there’s the Ford GT.

Built for just two model years, 2005 and 2006, the first-generation GT brought the spirit of the legendary GT40 into the modern era. A 5.4L supercharged V8 producing 550 horsepower, a 6-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive and a top speed north of 200 mph — all wrapped in one of the most timeless shapes to ever come out of America.

Nearly two decades later, the numbers are still impressive. The presence is even better.
