The conversation > Modern cars are compared to the past extremely complex highly digitized computers on wheels. We're currently seeing a new trend from the public, a push back on the new cars purchase. Offten times clients opt to repair, refresh their existing vehicles. Just like this 2012 Mercedes-Benz C350 4matic coupe ,got new brakes new alloys on new winters ,repainted calipers to make it look and perform amazing. The manufacturers love to jam their new cars full of tech ,sensors ,networks and high tech electronics which inevitably will break down and cost a ton of money to correct. A rather unique and interesting visitor for service. 2020 Rolls-Royce Phantom with the most glide like plush ride and quiet cabin . No less than 286 pound of insulation even though the majority of the vehicle is made from aluminum pre dominantly . The engine is the BMW 6.75 liter V12 and the tachometer is replaced with a power reserve meter instead. Naturally special tires are fitted to be nearly silent in rolling noise and the carpet is a 3.5 inch lamb wool to complement the ultimate plush ride . Just a tad over 13 thousand kilometers she is literally brand new and don't forget the rear su***de doors with the famous umbrella stored in the door sil for ease of access. Tech talk > 2015 Mercedes-Benz ML350 CDI air mass meter faults. The "clean diesel " is not so clean after all . The EGR system dumps so much soot into the intake tract which mixes with the oil vapour creating this gigantic mess . Looks like atherosclerosis on steroids, literally. Luckily the intake port linkeages are fine and healthy, therefore a couple hours of walnut shell blasting done the trick . Otherwise the 2 intakes would be $ 2200.00 for a replacement pair , time well spent. Keep in mind also the lighter oil prefered of late by the manufacturers will create more oil vapour and short distance driving also exacerbate the problem further as well . Tech talk > 2019 911 Carrera GTS 4 convertible coolant leak from a plastic elbow at 18 000 kms . This is the " carnage " you need to do to replace a silly plastic elbow behind the water pump 😜. I'm not an engineer just a mechanic, my question is why would you put a plastic component on a ultra high performance twin turbo monster ?! The price of this vehicle was probably close to $ 350 000 or so ,carbon brakes for racetrack like performance, albeit the cooling system leaked just by standing, so I wonder what would it do on a racetrack 🤔? Ditto for the plastic oil pan !
The company is complaining they're loosing marketshare I wonder why? Any questions how may we help?

Tech talk > 2015 X3 xdrive Diesel charging issue at hand . Owner tried to fix the problem but after the second alternator replacement and numerous batteries he give up . Initial testing revealed a massive 2V difference between the alternator and the battery. Voltage drop test revealed a major resistance along the length from rear to the front . The culprit found to be the distribution box at front where the JBE and the forward wiring harness is split . Appears to be someone accidentally left the junction partially loose which melted the junction/fuse box aft of the windshield. Naturally all is back to normal after junction box replacement. The 911 was in for a new battery and maintenance. Any questions how may we help? bmwspecialist bmw

Tech talk Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 2016 and CLA 250 2018 camshaft and crankshaft correlation faults . Unfortunately both engines the M274 GLC and the M270 CLA has identical manufacturing faults, the camshafts are off from their desired position due to the hubs moving over time . This camshafts are hollow and the lobes and hubs are fitted and secured via friction lock only in a jig . Unfortunately they tend to move off slightly from their desired position over time and will set a camshaft crankshaft correlation faults. The manufacturers says to replace the camshaft with a new revised version to correct this problem. Any questions how may we help?
