Emily here: It’s been 16 years since I founded AutoNiche. For those of you who know my story, I started this journey by faith, believing that God called me to open an auto repair shop. What began as a calling grew into something far greater than I could have imagined.

Today, I’m announcing that I’ve sold the business. This decision wasn’t an easy one, and as always, I am following my faith. It’s a bittersweet moment — letting go of something I’ve poured my heart into while feeling immense pride in the meaningful difference AutoNiche has brought to the marketplace.

To my sons: For all the times I was late or couldn’t make it to your extracurricular activities or tuck you in bed… it took me a while to figure out how to be a better mom. I remember visiting suppliers with L in an infant carrier when I was first setting up accounts. I remember pausing during repair jobs to pick up E from daycare. Time passes quickly! I love you and I am so proud of you both.

To my team, current and past: I am blessed that you chose to spend your time with me, and each of you has contributed to my leadership skills in some way. I couldn’t be where I am today without you. It’s been my honour to serve you.

To my suppliers and industry partners: For the suppliers who have been with me from day one, you took a chance on me when no one knew my name. For those whom I’ve met along the way, thank you for your support in helping us service our clients better.

To my clients: Thank you for your trust, honesty, loyalty, and encouragement. I know there is a lot of choice when it comes to auto repair, and I appreciate that you chose AutoNiche.

As I move forward, I take with me so many memories that will last a lifetime. The business will continue under new ownership (watch out for an introduction post on our social channels soon!) and I will be at the shop to assist in the transition until the end of the month.

Thank you for 16 incredible years. I leave AutoNiche humbled and blessed, my heart full of gratitude.
