Yes. In Alberta, you have the right to choose where you want your vehicle’s damage estimated and repaired.

Your insurance company may recommend a repair facility, but that doesn’t generally mean you have to use it.

If you’re ever unsure about your options after a collision, check your policy and ask your insurer to explain what’s covered.
