A big congratulations to CARSTAR Cloverdale and the Raydar Collision Group on the successful grand opening of their newest location, raising more than $1,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

The celebration brought together community members, customers, partners, and local organizations for a day of fundraising, networking, and fun, featuring a community car wash, entertainment, and an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Sometimes, the most meaningful acts of kindness happen simply because someone sees a need, and decides to do something about it.

That’s exactly what CARSTAR Canada in Red Deer, owned by Darryl and Brian Hemstreet, did.

On their own accord, the team at CARSTAR collected thousands of school supplies and donated them to Red Deer Public Schools so they can get into the hands of students who need them most.

There was no big ask. No campaign. They simply saw an opportunity to help local students start the school year with the supplies they need to learn, participate and feel ready to be in the classroom, and they made it happen.

Those supplies will be distributed throughout our schools to help ensure that every student has access to the basics they need to learn and succeed.

A backpack. A notebook. A pencil. These may seem like small things, but for a student who might otherwise go without, they can mean so much.

To the team at CARSTAR: thank you for looking out for our students and for being the kind of community partner who doesn’t wait to be asked. Your generosity will make a difference for thousands of students across Red Deer Public Schools.

CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Red Deer South Lead Successful School Supply Drive for Local Students 🎒

Over four weeks, CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Red Deer South, owned by Darryl and Brian Hemstreet, brought their community together to collect backpacks, notebooks, pencils and other essential school supplies for local students. The stores also contributed $500 in supplies to the drive.

With support from customers, employees, community members and the Red Deer Rebels, the campaign made a meaningful impact. The collected supplies were donated to the Red Deer Public School District, where they will support students across all 22 schools and help local families start the school year prepared for success.

A special thank you to the Red Deer Rebels for helping gather additional donations during their annual Intrasquad Game and to everyone who contributed to this community-wide effort. 🏒

Through our Backpacks for Smiles campaign this summer, the CARSTAR Johnny K Group, rallied together with our amazing community partners, the Edmonton Oil Kings, to deliver over 200 packed backpacks to students across 9 local schools. To add a little extra joy, 50 families are getting a special surprise: 2 tickets each to our upcoming CARSTAR Game Day with the Oil Kings!

This recognition highlights the team’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to best practices and the ongoing evolution of vehicle repair technologies.

The receipt of the five Platinum certificates further confirms this achievement. The team would also like to extend a special thank you to Pat Marcotte and Carrostra Solutions for their guidance and support throughout the entire process.

A great collective achievement that marks the beginning of a new chapter, with CCC certification currently underway. Congratulations to the entire CARSTAR Boucherville team!
