Stage 2 of the Terwillegar Drive Expansion Program is complete and officially reopened to traffic, on time and on budget! 🎉

As a vital north-south route connecting communities across southwest Edmonton, this expansion increases roadway capacity while delivering improved connections for people driving, taking transit, walking, cycling and rolling.

Traffic updates:
🚗 Current traffic restrictions have been removed, and the new dedicated bus-only lane is in service.
🚗 Some off-peak or overnight single-lane closures may be in place while crews complete final touches.
🚗 A westbound single-lane closure remains on 122 Street until late October, while crews restore embankment erosion.

The City thanks Edmontonians for their patience and understanding while construction of the expansion was underway.

The City would also like to recognize the Government of Alberta, our project partners, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders who contributed to this project.
