Meet Omakase04: Mesa.

In Japanese dining, omakase is a leap of trust, placing your experience in the hands of the chef. Our Omakase series lives by the same spirit: a select few vans, carefully curated and crafted by our team, the way we’d build it for ourselves.

Mesa is the fourth. Its predecessor never even went public — Omakase03 was claimed before we could promote it. This time, Mesa isn’t going anywhere before you get the full reveal.

Named for the layered rock that turns rust and clay red under a desert sun, Mesa’s built on the Teton01N — Yama’s most popular model. Dual sleep zones, a 90L fridge/freezer, and 85 ft³ of gear storage. Plenty of room to pack for the long haul, and just as much to settle in once you’re there.

Owner Camp 2026 🚐 🌲

Ten vans rolling in from all directions, twenty-one people who’d never actually met, but who’d all made the same call at some point, for probably a lot of the same reasons. We had a hunch that was enough common ground to build something on. Turns out, it was.

The idea was straightforward: back to simpler times. Slow down, unplug, enjoy the ride.

We came as strangers. We left with each other’s coffee orders memorized and someone else’s playlist stuck in our heads.

Take away the noise, even for a few days, and you get people who are actually with each other, present in a way that’s hard to come by anymore. None of the best moments were on the schedule. The group made them happen.

☕️ Bright and early, the espresso machines were plugged in and purring, ready for the many rounds of Owner Camp Café.

Afternoons were unplanned and slow, exactly how we wanted them.

🍻 Cold beers chilled in the river. Post-ride affogatos. Pizza straight from the oven. Rebecca’s infamous margs on taco night.

There’s no faster way to turn strangers into friends than putting good food in front of them.

🌊 Good things happen on the lake.

🚵 Ten vans down the FSR, dust in the mirrors, bikes in tow. Some days remind you that everything’s better on two wheels — this was one of them.

🦖 One night, we broke out a 120” screen and a projector for a movie under the stars, Jurassic Park, Jiffy Pop, the works. Because we like to camp, but we still like a little comfort while we’re at it.

This was our first Owner Camp, and it won’t be the last. If reading this made you wish you’d been there, you can be, next time. Ready to join the Yama Fam?

🍿 This is what Owner Camp looks like after dark. String lights between vans, a 120” screen, Jiffy Pop going off over the camp stove, and Jurassic Park rolling while the real wilderness sat just beyond the treeline.
