Solid Mechanical Background: Proven experience as an automotive technician/mechanic who understands drivetrain systems and clearances.

Cautious & Methodical: You don't cut corners or skip steps. You measure twice, inspect carefully, and assemble with precision.

Experience or Willingness to Learn: Prior transmission rebuilding experience is a huge plus—but for the right mechanic with the right mindset, we are willing to train.

Paul taught Rick how to rebuild his first transmission back in 1980(ish) and has been a transmission tech here with us for 14 years and counting.

The Role
You aren't just booking appointments; you are the bridge between our customers and our specialized technicians. You will manage the flow of the shop, explain complex repairs in plain English, and ensure every customer leaves feeling confident in the work we’ve performed.

What You’ll Do
Customer Relations: Greet customers, listen to their vehicle
concerns, and provide clear, honest estimates.
Workflow Management: Coordinate schedules for our transmission
specialists and disassemblers to ensure efficient turn-around times.
Technical Translation: Use your knowledge of vehicles to explain
transmission diagnostics and repair options to clients.
Parts & Billing: Source necessary components and finalize service
orders with accuracy.

What We’re Looking For
Well-Natured & Patient: You can keep a cool head and a warm smile,
even when the shop gets busy.
Highly Organized: You thrive on keeping a schedule tight and
documentation in order.
Automotive Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of vehicle
systems (specific knowledge of transmissions/drivetrains is a major
asset).

communication.

What we Provide:
Monday- Friday 40hrs/ week: More hours are available but you will never be asked to work evenings or weekends.
Health Benefits: After probation period, we provide a quality Blue Cross Health insurance plan.
RRSP Contributions: Rick and the crew will match weekly RRSP contributions up until a set amount per year.
Clothing is Provided: Clothing options are provided once probation period is up.

JOB OPENING:
PARTS COUNTER / SHIPPING

Are you a former mechanic and are looking for a change but wanting to stay in the automotive field? Are you dreading standing under the hoist all day with cold, salty water dripping down the back of your neck? Maybe you are currently in a parts position and would like a change of scenery?
Either way, we would love to have you join our team in our parts and shipping department.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with parts and mechanical knowledge!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Answer customer calls for parts and transmissions and pull stock from shelves.
* Ship orders to customers and receive transmission cores.
* Pick up parts from courier depots, dealerships, or other suppliers on a daily basis.
* Receive parts orders, enter parts into inventory, and put parts away.
* Keep parts shelves organized and keep inventory counts up to date.
* Order parts for stock, as well as for the mechanics and technicians.
* Keep a clean and organized work space.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

* Parts and mechanical knowledge is required.
* Must be dependable and self motivated.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
* Shipping/receiving experience would be an asset but training will be provided.
* Good telephone etiquette and top-notch customer service skills are essential.
* A fair amount of heavy lifting is required.
* Good computer skills. Must be able to look up and order parts, as well as email customers.
* Experience with Repair Link, Napa Prolink, CarQuest Weblink, & Shop Key is a HUGE asset.
* Experience with Lankar software is an asset, however, specific training will be given in this area. In general, the applicant should be familiar with entering data, looking up parts, looking up customer information, and creating sales invoices in a computerized inventory system.
* A valid driver's license and safety shoes.

TRANSMISSION DISASSEMBLER AND PARTS WASHER

Are you detail oriented and enjoy working with mechanical components? Join our team as a Transmission Disassembler and Parts Washer!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Safely and efficiently disassemble various types of automatic and manual transmissions according to established procedures.
* Clean and degrease all component parts using specified washing equipment and solvents, ensuring they are free of debris and ready for inspection/assembly.
* Sort and organize cleaned parts into designated bins and areas.
* Document incoming transmissions and track disassembled components.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area, including washing equipment and tools.
* Assist in general shop organization and material handling as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Prior experience in a mechanical, automotive, or industrial
environment is preferred.
* Familiarity with various hand and power tools.
* Having own tools is a major advantage.
* Ability to lift and move heavy components (up to 50 lbs).
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
