Ryan Vintage Dreams approached me a little while back to do up some tin sets for some upcoming builds. The plan was to do some up and then send them down to Mitch Bailey to work his paint magic on them.

When we were talking he came up with the insane idea to do a polished steel set. Not chrome? Plenty of people already do that. He wanted polished steel and on top of that, then let Mitch work some of his magic over the polished steel.

I am beyond stoked to be a part of this awesome collaboration. There was a fair bit of work that went into these. The welds needed to be fully planished and wheeled smooth to prevent weld 'ghosting' that can happen when you polish a part up. Even after that I still had to polish them up to give that glass like finish.

MIG VS. TIG

2" 'Mini' Fuel Filler are now up on website.

For ages, I have been making one at a time just when a new tank needed one. I bit the bullet and decided to make up a batch of them.

These are hand-made in my workshop here, and the process is still a little slow. I am hoping to keep fine tuning making these so I can get them done quicker.

They start off with the outer pieces being cut and then pressed into a curved shape with a basic press die I made. Next I grab the inner sleeve and machine the step downs on the inside and outside. Then the outer pieces get silver brazed to the inner sleeve. Finally they are cleaned up and I try to get all of the flux oxidisation off.

I have tried to keep this one really simple but nice with some top molding. To change it up a little, I also made up a 2" fuel filler. This one is not perfect, but it is definitely a cool tank.

The front mounting tab has been purposely left off, so you can make whatever custom mount you need to suit your motorbike. I will include one of my standard tank mounts in case you want to go with that option.
