When trying to contact us if you can not get through by phone please try our online booking/contact form on the website!!

Here is a step by step on how to submit your concerns or issues on our website!!

Step 1: Go on any web browser and search up "Townsville Custom Cycles"

Step 2: Once you have looked us up press Website (It is circled in red)

Step 3: Once you are in our website you will see a range of options you can choose from, When you see "Services" (Circled in red again) press that and it will take you to another page where you fill out details.

Step 4: When you load onto the page, scroll down and enter all your details e.g. First and Last name, your email, the model and year your bike is, your Registration or VIN number and lastly a short message telling us your concerns or issues.

We had Colin's 100th Year Anniversary Wide Glide in the shop this week, to give it a big freshen-up.

We started with a thorough service, replacing oils, flushing the front and rear brake systems, inspecting the tyres and brakes, drive belt and electrical system. ✅

Given a clean bill of health, it was time for further pampering in the form of a detail. Removing years of corrosion and grime, bringing back the glory of the 23-year-old chrome and metallic blue paint before protecting it with a ceramic treatment gave us some great results. ✅

We had this brand new Road King in the shop this week, fitting up the new bars and a set of auxiliary lights. Big future...

Something quite different in the workshop this week.

Kevin dropped off his newly acquired 2001 Yamaha V-Max after it was imported straight from Japan. With only 15,500km, it's obvious the bike had been sitting unused/in storage for some time.

Kevin wanted us to give it a thorough clean and polish, in order to bring back some of the former shine and remove years of built-up grime and dirt. While some of the results of age and storage cannot be fully undone with a thorough detail, we think it's an honest reflection of the history of this Japanese muscle bike.

Some simple info on the model (taken from Google);

"The 2001 Yamaha V-Max 1200 is incredibly fast. It is an iconic "muscle bike" famous for straight-line acceleration. It launches from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and runs the quarter-mile in about 10.9 seconds. It reaches a top speed of around 150 mph.The secret to its speed is a giant 1,197cc V4 engine. This engine makes about 140 horsepower. It also uses a special system called V-Boost. Think of V-Boost like a turbocharger for a car. Once the engine hits 6,000 RPM, butterfly valves open to let extra air into the engine. This unleashes a huge burst of power that throws you back in the seat."

Incredible stats for 25 years ago, and still hella impressive by today's standards.
