Roll Racing return's to DriveIt on Saturday the 24th of October for double header with the last Northern Drag Racers Club Inc Townsville No Prep and the JW Customs & Auto Electrical Townsville Top 10 List Shootout, presented by lawn Solutions Townsville.

The afternoon will feature a causal Race Your Mates No Prep format and the JW Customs & Auto Electrical Top 10 List Shootout for the fastest no prep street cars in North Queensland.

As the sun goes down the timing system will be packed away and the Roll Racing action will kick off.

No eliminations, just hours of racing to settle those grudges for the final time in 2026.

Reece’s GQ just got a serious upgrade 👌🏾

We’ve just wrapped up a complete drive-in, drive-out engine and gearbox conversion, ditching the tired TB42E and troublesome RE4 for an L98 and 6L80E auto combo.

Before going in, the L98 got a freshen up with a full reseal, BTR Truck Norris cam, LS7 lifters, Rollmaster timing chain and CHE trunnion upgrade. We also built a complete custom exhaust system in-house to finish it off.

Electronics are taken care of with a full Haltech package — Rebel LS ECU and harness, IC7 dash and one of the all-new Ti6L transmission interfaces tying the 6L80E into the setup.

We wanted this one to be as easy as possible for Reece, so we handled the lot — conversion, fabrication, wiring, exhaust, tuning and engineering.

Tom’s VK is in getting a full rewire from front to rear ⚡️

We’re getting rid of the old bird’s nest of wiring and starting fresh, making sure everything is neat, safe and reliable for years to come.

We should have this thing ready to fire up for the first time next week 👌🏾

One very spicy LS1 we’ve just finished up for Nick 🌶️

We’ve put together a forged combo using oversized CP pistons, Spool I-Beam rods and ACL bearings, paired with a BTR turbo LS camshaft, dual valve springs, CHE trunnions and plenty of other goodies throughout.

A lot of work has gone into getting this engine right and we can’t wait to hear it fire up once Nick’s got it back in the car.
