We got SNOW!!!!
Day 11 of our NZ Tour and had a dump of 20cm of snow overnight at Lake Tekapo. By the time we had a walk and snowball fight followed by breakfast by the road was cleared and we had an amazing drive back to Christchurch and our farewell dinner at Hugo’s. A huge thanks to all involved for helping make this a truly memorable tour.

Day 10 of our New Zealand adventure. Arrowtown to Lake Tekapo. More great roads, stunning mountain scenery, snow capped peaks, beautiful blue lakes, just another day on the road. The drive into Mt Cook was pretty special. There is a forecast for snow overnight so stay tuned.

NZ Day 9
We left a sunny Dunedin and cruised up the west coast to Rod Temero’s amazing workshop where he builds an amazing fleet of classic cars from scratch. Currently there are 7 Maseratis in the shed, a couple of Ferraris including a 250 GTO and a gull wing Merc as well as a few extras. We then headed over the stunning scenery the is Central Otago before dropping down the hill to our favourite spot, Millbrook Lodge in Arrowtown.

NZ Day 8 continued. After jumping ship we drove down the west coast to spend the night in Invercargill.

NZ days 5 & 6. Something different for a driving adventure. We spent the night on a boat! We travelled to Manapouri for an overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound. Stunning!!!

Day 3 of the NZ Tour was a blast down the west coast from Fran Josef all the way to Arrowtown on the outskirts of Queenstown. Some stunning roads and amazing scenery.

NZ Day 2. Christchurch to Franz Josef.
A great day with spectacular scenery. Heading over the Canterbury Plains with the Alps looming ever larger then over Arthur’s Pass before a run along the west coast to Franz Josef.

NZ Day 1. A quick visit to Akaroa and back to Christchurch. If you are visiting Christchurch you should check out The George. Brilliant hotel and wonderful staff.

Some very sad news this morning.
Long time mate Gordon Ketelby passed away on Friday. I first met Gordon on the 1993 London - Sydney Marathon and over years shared many adventures in far flung corners of the world. Lots of laughs and a few disasters later, I cannot remember Gordon ever being flustered, just that calm dry sense of humour. While he loved his cars and driving he also had a brilliant career sailing around the globe.
Mate you will be missed!
