If towing is the job, the Tundra sits at the top of Toyota’s fleet. 💪
This is Toyota’s full-size pickup and pretty much everything about it is turned up a notch.
Under the bonnet is the i-FORCE MAX 3.5L twin-turbo V6 hybrid, combining petrol and electric power for 326kW and 790Nm, matched to a 10-speed automatic, part-time 4WD and a two-speed transfer case.
Then there’s the number that really matters for the tow crowd:
4,500kg braked towing capacity.
That’s a full tonne more than the 3,500kg maximum of HiLux, Prado and LandCruiser 300. It also gets dedicated Tow modes to optimise things like shift points, throttle response and steering when you’ve got a serious load behind you.
And it’s BIG.
📏 5,955mm long
📏 2,040mm wide
📏 1,985mm high
📏 3,700mm wheelbase
â›˝ 122L fuel tank
🛞 20-inch wheels
đź’Ş Up to 8,030kg GCM depending on grade.
Inside, it doesn’t feel like a work truck either.
You’ve got a massive 14-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital display, 12-speaker JBL audio, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, Panoramic View Monitor and heated and ventilated front seats.
Step up to Tundra Platinum and it gets even more serious premium leather-accented trim, heated and ventilated rear seats, massaging front seats, heated steering wheel, panoramic roof, 10.9-inch head-up display, black alloys and LED tub lighting.
Outside? Huge stance, huge grille, power tailgate, side steps, tub cargo management system and a cabin that genuinely has the space you expect from a full-size American pickup.
Big engine. Big cabin. Big dimensions. And the biggest towing capacity in Toyota’s Australian passenger/ute range.
If you’ve got a big van, big boat, big trailer or you simply want the biggest Toyota in the yard you need to come and drive the Tundra.
