43 YEARS OLD… AND ABOUT TO DO 10,000KM.

This October, Hatchie is heading east.

Perth WA 👉 Sydney NSW for SubiNats 2026 — straight across the Nullarbor and back again, with a few detours through SA, VIC and NSW to catch up with the people who keep this whole scene alive.

Here’s the thing…

By today’s standards, Hatchie is tiny.
No big canopy.
No fancy touring setup.
No creature comforts.

Just an old Subaru, packed to the absolute limit… somehow making it all work.

And that’s exactly why we love it.

Because these cars were never about having everything —
they were about going anywhere with what you’ve got.

Roughly 10,000km in a 43-year-old car that’s smaller than most people’s daily.

Let’s see how it goes. 😅

Date announcement!!! The next instalment of SubiNats will be held in Sydney in October 2026.

Unfortunately the huge demand for venues this year meant we were unable to coordinate adequate facilities at a suitable time of year to do justice to the event.
