Round 5 – NSW Championship – One Raceway 🏁🏆🥇

We were back at one raceway for the final round of the year with a 2 day race format. We were allocated garage 1 and 2 sharing with ben and his S15 which made it a super fun weekend!
Silvias unite!

Friday practice- we tried some changes and got back in the groove after some time out of the car.

Saturday - Qualy - track was hot and greased up i overdrove it slightly to force a lap and managed pole U2l and P2 outright a few tenths separating a speedy Joseph , myself and Ben.

Race 1 - track temps seemed high, challenging conditions
P1 Unders and i keapt that P2 outright spot and fastest lap of the race. A brief visit from the marshalls post race informed us i had exceeded the noise limit which we found super odd. Never having this issue before we narrowed it down to changing shift points. Luckily i had a trusty elbow to put on for the rest of the weekend.

Sunday- 40 mins before race 2 in my usual warm up, i realise the alt bracket is cracked and barely holding on. (Great way to spike your heartrate) Luckily i had prepared for this with a spare on hand and it was all hands on deck to get it swapped in 20 mins. With a lend of a grinder from matt Wildridge , legend!

Race 2 , i managed our pace this race securing a P1 unders and P3 outright.

Race 3, last race of the year, I wanted to manage this race, nothing stupid. But a hard charging jordan in his wrx keapt me honest pushing me all the way. P1 unders P3 outright.

Strong weekend, securing the round win. I lookforward to covering more details in the post to come regarding the championship!

Datsun 1200 ute CA18T 1/4 mile PB 🚀 🏁

Francis wasted no time getting his mighty datto prepped for its first outing since its recent tweaks.

Was a super enjoyable night seeing the datto reel off back to back PB's!

ET : 10.1 @ 143mph

Nissan R32 GTR Engine Management System 🇦🇺 🏁

This very original example was recently towed into us with no start complaint after a battery replacement. A faulty ecu was diagnosed and a Haltech Nexus plug-in was selected and installed.

Now up and running with all functions checked off the final cal will be taken care of by Unigroup Engineering!

Ford Capri TT Coyote rewire 🚀🚀🏁

This classic underwent an extensive overhaul after years of loyal service.
Along with the raft of changes a complete Haltech engine management system was selected to control the Gen 2 Coyote powerplant.

✅️ Nexus R5
✅️ PD16 x 2
✅️ UC-10 digital dash
✅️ TCA-8 Egt
✅️ R35 coil IGN
✅️ Gearbox control /temps/pressure , all road functions pressure temp, knock, emap, gearpos,multiple fuel and thermofan circuits, Co2 boost control.

Completed last year but now driving and with all systems checked off its ready for a final cal with Unigroup Engineering

Datsun 1200 Ute CA18T 🚀🏁

This Rocket was back in for a ecu upgrade after running for a few years doing steet and strip duties.
Looking to better the current PB of 10.6@123 mph with some driveline limitations.

Along with the driveline and fuel system upgrades an emtron SL4 was selected to take advantage of the TMF and Motorsport functions. It also recieved an underdriven alternator pulley to keep the alternator from leaving the chat at the 9k rev limit.

Round 4 – NSW Championship – One Raceway 🏁🥇

Awesome weekend away at a very frosty One Raceway in Goulburn with IPRA NSW - Improved Production Racing Association NSW

It was our first time at the track since the new layout, so we spent Friday getting up to speed, managing to get to the 5s late in the day.

Saturday was a one-day race format. In our efforts to keep warm, we totally forgot to pick up our timing device—shout out to Joey for the kind delivery 5 minutes before qualy.

The conditions were arctic and definitely required some adjustments. Our highlights for the weekend were securing pole in challenging temps and getting the fastest lap of Race 2 against some in-form Over 2L cars! We managed 2 laps in the 5s on used tyres over the weekend, also securing the round win.

This Custom Cuda is on its way after a custom terminated vehicle rewire and electronics package to control the HEMI powerplant.
All road functions were retained along with the added flexibility of the Emtron World motorsport features.
After completing Initial calibration this beast is ready for its final stages of assembly. We look forward to bringing you more on this build once its completed.

Round 3 - NSW Championship SMSP 🏁🏆🥇

A huge field of ipra cars for round 3 with some fast interstate cars making the trip to SMSP for the Day/night format.

Friday Practice was a chance for me to test the new powersteering in the car and it really transformed how i feel in the car. No lap fatigue! thanks to Waterhouse Performance

Qualifying- With a huge field track postion was the game, i aimed to get the lap done early the first lap. Not ideal but the safer option.
I managed pole for U2l and P2 outright. In a stacked field was a dream result.

Race 1 P1 U2L -
Front row start of a 39 car field was epic.
Nailed the start and managed to keep track position for the first lap against the bigger cars. Moved across for them to get past and i settled into a good pace to take the win.

Race 2 P1 U2L-
Under lights, unreal feeling smsp at night!
Another good start and i settled into a good pace keeping out of the way of the O2l race and looking after the car a bit.

Race 3 P1 U2L -
Last race under lights. Smoking bmw on the start line raised the blood pressure a touch for what would be an eventful first lap. Trying to keep out of the way of hard charging O2L cars and not having the pace to go forward. I eventually found some clear track but by this point gave brad a chance to close the gap right to my bumper!
The next 7 laps were full tilt all the revs plus some, managed to pull a decent gap to take the win.

Awesome weekend racing, thanks to all the interstate teams for making the trip to come racing with IPRA NSW - Improved Production Racing Association NSW . It made the event one to remember!
