Driver Announcement!

Young Gun Josh Buchan prepares to fire into the 2021 Australian TCR Championship with HMO Customer Racing!

We are thrilled to confirm that 24-year-old Sydneysider Josh Buchan will join the HMO Customer Racing team to drive the Hyundai TCR for the 2021 season.

Josh is the 2018 NSW Formula Ford State Champion, the 2019 Bathurst 12-Hour Formula Ford Festival Winner and finished runner-up in the 2019 Australian F3 Championship.

Pre-season testing has shown Josh to be fast and we look forward to seeing him produce some great results on the track!

Congratulations to Son and father team Daniel and George Frougas on their second place in the NSW Formula Ford 1600 state championship, a fantastic result for Daniel in his first year in Formula Ford.
We enjoyed watching Daniel quickly adapt to cars from his background in karts, improving every time he went to the track. George does a good job of maintaining the car with a little help from us from time to time.
We can't wait to see what they can do next year with a years experience. Well done team.

A big congratulations to 2nd generation Listec driver William Lowing Motorsport on his fantastic debut in historic Formula Ford racing. William was driving his father's (Mark) '88 Van Dieman. We at Listec did the initial restoration and setup and we were there over the weekend to help Mark run the car.
William did very well in qualifying fourth out of the 15 cars. Race one was very exciting with William doing a great job driving and getting home 2nd.
Race two was a another great race with William again getting 2nd but this time he had the fastest lap of the race.
Race three was changed to the North circuit layout. William got a great jump from P2 on the grid to lead a Formula Ford race for the first time in his short career. The lead changed several but this time William crossed the line first for his first win and fastest lap again. In race four William led from flag to flag to finish off a great weekend in style.

It was good to be back out at the track, doing what we love to do. Testing on Friday was the first time we had one of our own cars on track for nearly six months. The day was spent trying a few different things and for Josh to get some track time. We didn't do any new tyre runs on Friday but by the end of the day Josh was confident that with new tyres the car would be fast.
Saturday started with qualifying. Josh made full use of the new tyres and drove the Listec WIL-013 to its fastest ever lap around Sydney Motorsport Park , a great job considering it was Josh's first time on new tyres here, ending the session in P2.
In race 1, Josh got a good start to keep his second position and despite some pressure held that position still the end. The second race ended shortly after the start when the gear linkage uni-joint broke, leading to a dnf.
Race three had Josh stating out of the seventh grid spot. Josh got a good start, by lap four he had worked his way up to second and held on till the chequered flag.
Thanks to Josh Buchan for again bringing out the best out of the car and to everyone who made the race possible in these weird and trying times. We are looking forward to some more testing soon.

The racing landscape is looking brighter thanks to NSW Formula Ford being able to put together a three round series in these difficult times. We can't wait for the season to start.

It has been a long wait and we want to thank all of our competitors for their patience during these difficult and uncertain times.

KIERCE LEADS LISTEC TRIO IN OHIO

Chris Kierce was the standout performer for the Listec Race Cars eSports squad at Rounds 3 & 4 of the Formula Race Promotions iRacing Challenge at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Chris Kierce - ⏱: 14th 🏁 R1: 6th 🏁 R2: 11th
Ryan Bjerke - ⏱: 15th 🏁 R1: 16th 🏁 R2: 14th
Will Liston - ⏱: 20th 🏁R1: 26th 🏁 R2: 13th

After qualifying 14th in an incredibly tough field Kierce showed superb race craft to record a series best 6th place finish. Chris was on course for a second consecutive Top 10 finish in the second race before being on the receiving end of some last lap shenanigans

Ryan Bjerke also had a breakout performance, overcoming the bad luck that's plagued him thus far this season to record 16th and 14th place finishes at a track that he's historically been very competitive at in the real FRP Series

Will Liston had a frustrating and mistake-laden qualifying session and started Race 1 from 20th, only to be involved in an early race incident and finish multiple laps down in 26th. Race 2 was a more successful outing and Will claimed the hard charger award - driving 26th to 13th in what was finally an example of the speed we'd shown in testing during the week.

We can't wait to have Ryan and Chris over here in Australia in the future, and we can't wait to be competing on these American tracks in the real world.

Formula Ford Australia eChallenge Results:

Will Liston:
⏱ Qualifying: 7th/45
🏁 Race 1: 25th
🏁 Race 2: 16th

Ryan Bjerke:
⏱ Qualifying: 41st
🏁 Race 1: 38th
🏁 Race 2: 21st

A frustrating event, Will had immediate pace in qualifying and potential to be a front runner, but through no fault of our own we were unable to survive the Race 1 Lap 1 carnage.

Late addition Ryan Bjerke got quicker with every session despite minimal track time pre-event and made up 20 spots across the two races

The series continues in two weeks times - this time on Ryan's home turf at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

Listec Race Cars eSports will continue their season at the Formula Race Promotions F1600 Series at Road Atlanta this Thursday
