Sometimes the biggest problems are the things customers weren’t even booked in for.
First job came in for tie rods and tie rod ends after another workshop said they couldn’t do the repair. While carrying out the work I noticed something didn’t look right with the brakes.
The brake pads had been replaced recently… but instead of fitting a new brake wear sensor, the old one had simply been bypassed. Warning light gone, problem hidden.
Second job was a rear brake and axle oil leak repair another mechanic had supposedly already done. A day later the customer lost the handbrake.
Pulled it apart to find the handbrake adjusters had failed previously, so instead of repairing it properly the shoes had just been removed completely because the mechanic “couldn’t get the parts”. The photo was taken right after I removed the disc
To make it worse, the original oil leak repair hadn’t actually been fixed either because the hub seal still hadn’t been replaced.
This is why recommendations and genuine customer reviews matter.
Finding a mechanic through word of mouth or honest reviews can save a lot of stress, money and unsafe repairs later on.
Anyone can fit parts. Doing the job properly, checking the work thoroughly and standing behind the repair is what matters.
If you’ve had work done by PWR Car & Commercial, reviews and recommendations genuinely help small businesses like mine continue to grow — and help other people know who they can trust with their vehicles.
