The Gibb River Road… one of Australia’s greatest outback adventures. 🤠🚐

If you’ve ever dreamed of red dirt, rugged landscapes, crystal-clear gorges and river crossings that get your heart racing, this is one trip you need to add to your bucket list.

One of the highlights for us was El Questro. From relaxing in the natural hot springs to exploring breathtaking gorges and taking in some of the most incredible scenery we’ve ever seen, it’s easy to understand why so many people fall in love with this place.

And then there’s the iconic Pentecost River crossing… the moment you’ve probably seen in countless photos. Rolling into the river with those spectacular Cockburn Ranges as the backdrop is one of those experiences you never forget. We were lucky enough to cross safely, but it’s definitely a reminder to always check the conditions, know the water depth, and never take river crossings lightly.

The Gibb isn’t just a road—it’s an adventure. If not recently graded Expect corrugations, dust, creek crossings, and unforgettable scenery around every corner. It can be tough on your vehicle and van, lower tyre pressure and drive to the conditions…. the rewards are worth every bump.
