Finally got the vincent heads machined and assembled even nailed on to the bottom end. Next up is the cam timing ( can’t wait ) 50’ V twin I’m up for it , I have no paperwork that the new cams should have ( it’s all new parts) but I’ll get there , I can work it out .

It’s been a while since the last post. But here I’ll try to explain about the 2 x Vincent heads I’ve had to do for some time now . These heads and the valve operation are like no other. Vincent use 2 valve guides on each valve , of different internal diameter a top and bottom ( conventional is in the head, retained by a screwed lock ring ). The rocker arm is placed in between the 2 guides. Pushing on a collar and pulling the valve spring down . Now of course everything has to be totally aligned. The valve seat angle again is Vincent at 30 degrees not the usual 45 degrees . Take a look the alloy spring base doubles as the top valve guide. Tricky s**t. ! 😊
