Some of the Southern Midlands Councillors are celebrating… but unfortunately at the expense of Tasmania’s transport industry.

The second rejection today of the Oatlands Fuel and Heavy Vehicle Rest Area today means fewer safe stopping options for truck drivers, decreased fuel price competition and a missed opportunity to support the people who keep freight moving across the state. The consequences of this decision will be felt far beyond the Southern Midlands Council chambers.

We look forward to finally being able to proceed with a judicial review and hopefully get this site built! 😎

⛽ PRICE DROP – MOUNT DIRECTION

With planned maintenance commencing tomorrow, we need to empty our underground fuel tanks in preparation for the site works.

That means we're dropping our fuel prices today while stocks last!

⛽Unleaded 91 – $1.499/L
⛽Diesel – $1.699/L

These prices are available while stocks last at our Mount Direction site only.

With the fuel excise increasing on Wednesday, now is the perfect time to fill up before prices change!!

📢 Planned Maintenance

From Tuesday 30th June until mid-July, our Mount Direction site will undergo planned maintenance on its underground fuel tanks. During this time, some fuel products may be temporarily unavailable while works are completed.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we carry out these important upgrades to ensure the ongoing reliability of the site.

Thank you for your understanding.
