🔧 Two Engines. Two Different Stories. One Standard. 🔧

Another busy week at Tas Moto Garage with two complete engine strip-downs on the bench.

🏍️ Honda CRF250 – Complete engine disassembly and assessment following internal engine concerns. Every component will be cleaned, measured and inspected before the rebuild begins.

🏍️ Yamaha WR450F – In for a full strip and repair, with worn and damaged components identified and replaced to ensure reliable performance for many more hours on the trails.

We don’t believe in shortcuts. Every engine that comes through our workshop is:
✔️ Completely stripped when required
✔️ Components cleaned and oil galleries flushed
✔️ Precision measured and inspected
✔️ Rebuilt using quality parts and correct specifications
✔️ Valve clearances checked and set before final assembly

CRF450 Major Engine Failure – Ground Up Rebuild 🔧🏁

Not every engine that comes through the workshop gets a simple top-end refresh… this CRF450 suffered a major internal engine failure, requiring a complete strip-down from the cases up.

The damage included:

* 💥 Catastrophic piston failure
* 💥 Extensive cylinder damage
* 💥 Valve-to-piston contact with damaged valves
* 💥 Debris throughout the engine requiring complete disassembly
* 💥 Cracked and damaged crankcase components

Every component was:
✔️ Fully stripped and inspected
✔️ Cases cleaned and oil galleries flushed to remove contamination
✔️ Worn and damaged parts replaced
✔️ Precision measured and reassembled to specification
✔️ Valve clearances set and final quality checks completed

The result is a complete ground-up rebuild, giving this Honda CRF450 a second life and returning it to reliable, race-ready condition.
