Brand spanker RAV4 Hybrid dual ( third? ) battery set up, it’s possible to squeeze a 100ah slim lithium and 25a Redarc DCDC under floor, just!

And yes, I even considered the spare wheel removal, it’s built on a sheet of 10mm acrylic that’s on a hinge so the whole panel lifts up with ample clearance for the spare wheel to be removed if ever needed 🤓.

Quick one from a recent boat job: no 240V output from the inverter.

Ran through a few tests, comformed the fault, pulled the inverter apart and found corrosion damage on the PCB. Given the age and a few other factors, swapped out the old Xantrex Prosine 1800i for a new Enerdrive 2000W unit.

Can’t complain though… the Prosine was built in 2003. That’s 23 years of solid daily use in a marine environment, pretty hard to beat!
Considering I recently fitted a “blue” inverter, turned it on/off and it popped and needed replacing after 4 seconds of being used 💩

Modern vehicles aren’t what they used to be - CANbus, CANFD, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet… even multiple networks in one car.

Old school wiring like piggyback adaptors and basic switches? That’ll throw fault codes and cause issues fast and the car will have a melt down.

The good news, accessories can still be added properly. I’ve got the tools to program CANbus modules for factory safe integration, with up to 6 customisable outputs!

Driving lights, alarms, immobilisers, monitoring systems all done without upsetting the vehicle.

Huge range of supported models, with customisable outputs for the daily driver, work car or fleet vehicles.

Have been under the pump lately and haven’t posted in yonks, also 99% of the time forget to take pics.

Here’s a few canopy’s I’ve been doing for Profab Custom Trays and Canopys , 80% of these set ups are using Aus made REDARC Electronics Bcdc chargers, bsen500 Bluetooth monitors and manager30 set ups, also running PowerPaul nifty 160ah or 345ah slim lithium batteries.
The final product of these canopy’s are crazy, the attention to detail and build quality is amazing.
It’s pretty cool to see the outcome from a professionally drawn Snapchat drawing done by me to the finished product in a canopy. (My old teachers always said I was special 💁🏻‍♂️).

This Silverline got some upgrades - removal of the incorrectly wired factory fitted dual 120ah lithium batteries and replaced with a 314ah H.A.E built lithium. 34% capacity increase and half the space!
Added 600w of solar with the Victron 100/50 MPPT keeping things charged even in low light!
