AUSKARTS ARE COMING TO GLADSTONE KART CLUB! 🏁🔥

This is going to be a MASSIVE 4-STROKE EVENT, with Auskarts Racing bringing some of the best 4-stroke racers in the country to Gladstone!

We want to see a BIG CQ 4-stroke field get behind this one.

If you're a Gladstone 4-stroke racer, race in CQ, or you've got a 4-stroke sitting in the shed waiting for an excuse to get back on track — THIS IS IT!

Karting Australia licence holders can race, and Auskarts run under AASA licences, so this is also a great opportunity for our mates from Rockhampton Kart Club to get involved.

Come and race against some of the best 4-stroke racers around, have some fun and see where you stack up!

Round 2 of the Auskart Sugar Rush Cup hits Gladstone Kart Club on Saturday, September 5, and there’s plenty on the line with DOUBLE POINTS! 🔥

Those points count towards both the Sugar Rush Cup AND the Auskart SEQ Championship, so this could be a big one for the standings.

And if you’re planning to race the QLD State Trophy, here’s another reason to enter — Gladstone Kart Club is the State Trophy track, making this the perfect opportunity to get some valuable laps in and learn the circuit before the big event.

🏁 ROUND 6 – RACE MEETING CANCELLED 🏁

Unfortunately, due to low nomination numbers, the Gladstone Kart Club Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel Round 6.

We sincerely apologise to everyone who had nominated or was planning to race this weekend. We know this is disappointing, and it certainly wasn't a decision the committee wanted to make.

Over the last few meetings, we've continued to run race days with very low competitor numbers. While we're passionate about providing racing opportunities, it takes a significant amount of time and effort from our volunteers and officials to make each meeting happen. Unfortunately, with the current level of support, the event was simply not viable to run.

Our volunteers are the backbone of this club, and after the effort they've put into keeping racing going over recent months, it's important that we also look after them.

Instead of racing, we'll be holding a Social Day this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Come down to the club, catch up with fellow members, enjoy a chat, and spend a few hours together at the track. Please register for the Social event through KOMP

All race meeting nomination fees will be fully refunded.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Gladstone Kart Club. We genuinely appreciate it, and we're already looking forward to our next race meeting. We hope to see a strong turnout so we can get back to doing what we all love—racing. 🏁

🚨 IMPORTANT – ROUND 6 UPDATE 🚨

Round 6 is at risk of being cancelled.

At this stage, we have just 9 nominations. The Gladstone Kart Club Committee has made the difficult decision that if we do not reach a minimum of 15 nominations by 5:00 PM TODAY (Thursday), the race meeting will be cancelled.

It takes a huge effort from our volunteers and officials to run a race meeting, and with the current number of nominations, the event is simply not viable to run.

If you've been thinking about racing this weekend, please get your nomination in before 5:00 PM today. Every nomination makes a difference.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of volunteers, there will be no canteen operating if the race meeting goes ahead, so please plan accordingly.

If the race meeting is cancelled:

✅ All nomination fees will be fully refunded.
✅ The club will instead hold a Social Day from 10:00 AM Saturday.
✅ You can register for the Social Day through KOMP.

🏁 Help us get to 15 nominations by 5:00 PM today and let's go racing!

All racers that have nominated will be contacted directly.

🏎️ The Queensland Government wants to give eligible kids $200 to go racing... who's in?

Applications for the 2026/27 Play On! Sports Voucher opened yesterday!

Eligible Queensland children aged 5 to 17 can apply for a $200 voucher to put towards their karting participation fees.

✅ Live in Queensland
✅ Current Medicare card
✅ One voucher per eligible child (2026/27)

💡 No income test. No Health Care Card required.

🏁 Gladstone Kart Club – Round 5 Results 🏁

Round 5 may have had smaller numbers than usual, but that certainly didn't stop the close racing! Every class put on a fantastic show, with plenty of great battles throughout the day, making for a fun, fast, and enjoyable race meeting.

A special mention to our KA3 Junior Light class, with seven juniors on track—it's fantastic to see such strong numbers and the future of our club looking bright!
