The 2nd EV Hillclimb scheduled at Rob Roy is on Sunday 4th October 2026. Coincidentally, the same day Daylight Savings commences ( this won't be the only warning to change your clocks).
The last event 2 years ago was an outstanding success, with 25 competitors ( with a few vehicles double entered) as well as interstate competitors and new and also retro fitted EV Conversions. This was the first all Electric Hillclimb in Australia ( and one of the few All EV Motorsport events anywhere). We moved mountains to make this happen.
However the feedback was that there are a lot of volunteer officials for a small event. We have been asked to combine our event with an interclub hillclimb event ( a normal multi club day) where there are 30 reserved spots for EV's of of 90 competitors. However the reserved spots will be held prior to 10 days before the event ( ie Friday 25th of September), after this remaining reserved spots for EV's will be offered to ICE vehicles
The competition will be the same as last time, i.e. speed or time/speed/distance (TSD i.e. regularity). The classes will be grouped with similar performance, like last time.
EV is defined as Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), PHEV or Hybrid. No Hydrogen unfortunately.
