👀 Sneak Peek… Something Big is Happening at CJ Tech Services!

For months we’ve been searching for the perfect office solution, and today it finally arrived.

Most people would recognise these portable buildings from construction and mining sites… but we’re giving ours a completely different purpose.

As our business and family continue to grow, we wanted a dedicated workspace where we can meet with customers, manage the business, and still have a safe play space for our kids. As parents, we know how difficult it can be to find places where you can supervise your children while still getting work done, so we’re creating our own.

The best part? We didn’t need cranes or contractors to get it into position. 💪

Using our own fleet:

🚜 Toro Mini Excavator

…we were able to unload and position our new office ourselves.

It’s only the beginning, but we can’t wait to show you the transformation over the coming weeks.

No fault codes doesn’t mean no fault. 💻 ❌

This machine had 0 active DTCs, but that doesn’t mean the job stops there. We carried out on-site testing, checked live data, fuel rail pressure, sensor readings, fuel supply and machine behaviour to confirm the diagnosis properly.

That’s why diagnostics are more than just “plugging the computer in” — it’s knowing what the data means and testing the machine as a whole.

Would you have spotted these issues before buying? 👀🛑

We recently completed a pre-purchase inspection on this CAT 312D excavator — and it was a great reminder that what looks okay from a distance can tell a very different story up close.

A few of the things picked up included cracks in key areas, heavy wear through pins and components, undercarriage concerns, water getting into the cab, damaged cooling components, and signs of final drive issues.

That’s the whole point of a proper inspection.

Before you hand over the money, you want to know what you’re really buying — not what you find out after it lands on your property.

Guess what Corey repaired this week? 👀

Hint: it wasn’t a truck, tractor or excavator.

This one had no DMD display and no soundboard.

After checking voltages, testing the transformer, running diagnostics and tracing wiring, Corey found the fault — a damaged DMD board with burnt areas, dry solder joints and damaged tracking.

Faulty unit replaced, and she powered back up with sound, lights and display all working again. 🙌

Just another reminder that CJ Tech Services is more than just mechanics — diagnostics, electrical repairs and fault finding are all part of what we do.

From seeing these at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023 to finally landing in Australia 3 years later is bold progression!

BHP, Rio Tinto and Caterpillar have launched a trial of two Cat® 793 XE Early Learner battery-electric haul trucks at a mine-site demonstration in Western Australia's Pilbara as part of an industry-first collaboration.

The trial is generating critical data to assess technical readiness, infrastructure requirements and commercial feasibility, including trialing high-powered static and dynamic charging solutions.

We’re excited to further explore the potential of battery-electric solutions for our industry.
