Driving in Tasmania during winter requires extra caution due to black ice, snow, and heavy fog.

Your vehicle:

1. Tyres have good tread and correct pressure.
2. Brakes, lights, and wipers are working properly.
3. Windscreen washer fluid is topped up.
4. Battery is in good condition.

Driving safely:

• Reduce your speed in wet, icy, or foggy conditions.
• Increase your following distance.
• Brake and steer gently to avoid skidding.
• Use headlights in rain or fog.
• Be especially cautious on bridges and shaded roads where black ice may form.
• Watch for wildlife, particularly around dawn and dusk.

This position can be either part time or full time. The right person must be reliable, trustworthy and willing to work on a wide range of vehicles and machinery.
There will be many opportunities to learn new skills.

We will consider a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year apprentice.
