Check out this awesome ‘62 Catalina 1/18 scale model of Arnie The Farmers 421 Super Duty “Passionate Poncho” drag car.

Pontiac 350 Stroker!

Our latest Pontiac build is coming together and we have been looking toward to this one for a while now..

We have been busy prepping the block with our minor oiling system modifications and getting ready to dummy up the bottom end.

Once back from machining we go through the block and de burr the bottoms of the cylinder walls remove excessive casting flash and smooth off a couple of sharp edges to eliminate stress risers.

Once washed and dried we oil the bores and remaining freshly machined surfaces before applying the high temp ceramic engine primer & custom deep metallic aqua paint supplied by our customer.

Once paint is dry we then install the welsh plugs and oil galley plugs including the “hidden” plug that has been drilled with a .030” hole in the center to keep the polymer distributor gear happy.

Main bearing clearances are checked and the rotating assembly is laid out and inspected ready for installation.

Our customer chose to upgrade to DSS forged pistons, Eagle forged I beams and a 4.25” stroker crankshaft punching this little 350 block out to an impressive 407cubic inches!

This engine is destined for an early 2nd gen Firebird & we will keep you updated with progress pics👍😎

1954 Ford Y Block.

Congratulations to Sam from Sydney for correctly identifying our latest 1954 EBU casting Y Block engine build! One of our T shirts is on the way…

Here’s a few progress pics as we go through and start the assembly.

Once we have the block back from machining we then go through and dummy everything up. Bearing clearances are checked, bottom of the cylinder walls chamfered and excessive casting flash is removed.

We also smooth out as many oil passages as we can reach in order to improve lubrication.

Oil galley plugs are removed and a final high pressure wash with warm soapy water cleans everything out so we can apply ceramic primer.

Our customer chose to go with the original and correct shade of Ford factory red paint and looks very nice on the deep skirted block.

The custom Racetec forged pistons look like perfect little jewels and come with a modern 1.5, 1.5 & 3mm ring pack.

Rings are file to fit from Total Seal with moly top rings and napier 2nd’s. Expanders have been modified to sit loosley in the bore.

Rotating assembly has been weight matched and balanced.

Our Comp Cams custom grind mechanical camshaft is installed after the lifters are in place as you must install the lifters first due to their mushroomed shaped head.

Getting to this stage of the build has really been an international effort and is much appreciated by all those involved including Galloway Engineering, Brent Lykins Motorsports in Kentucky, Mummert Racing in California & various others from Australia & New Zealand.

Enjoy👍😎

Competition time!

Which one of our followers will be the first to correctly id our latest engine block back from Dave and the legends at Galloway Engineering in Pinjarra.

Pretty rare world wide now and has been difficult to source the parts we need to get this engine up and running again.

One year only casting & the bore has been taken out 50 thou and is now at 3.550” Solid lifter from the factory.

Up for grabs is a free Muscle Car Engines T shirt in Army green to honour our Veterans. Will post Aus wide.

What year and engine family please?

1971 Firebird!

Have a look at this custom metallic grey 1971 Firebird from Perth…

Complete with a solid lifter Big Block Chevy at 454 cubic inch & TH400 transmission backed by a super strong 9” L*D rear.

It’s been highly modified over the years with not a single part of the car left un touched.

It came down to us for a good look over and to repair the usual engine oil and transmission leaks.

After checking valve lash we went through and readjusted the valve train for the mechanical cam and with some carby tuning we are hoping to get some power back for the owner.

Enjoy the pics, with more to come as we progress through the car.

If you have a Pontiac needing some help give us a call today👍😎

SBC 350 Vortec.

Progress pics of our most recent build and this Vortec engine has been treated to a fresh set of cylinder heads with larger stainless valves, mild porting and a set of Crow Cams double valve springs and viton valve stem seals.

An Edelbrock Performer RPM intake sits on top.

A custom grind Comp Cam and GM Performance Parts LS7 hyd roller lifters and original spider gear hold them in place.

The rotating assembly has been balanced. Journals polished and ACL race bearings are used throughout.

The main tunnel was line honed using ARP studs on the four bolt main caps. A new Powerbond neutral weight balancer is held in place by an ARP crank bolt.

A super nice practical build going into an old Brougham hence the modified custom sump snd pick up to suit the HKTG.

Just waiting on custom length pushrods and a new set of valve covers and accessory fit out & she will be good to go!👍😎
