Spring isn’t just bringing the flowers back to Bridgetown, our local birdlife is getting busy too!

With the Blackwood River, surrounding bushland and beautiful green countryside, Bridgetown is a wonderful place to slow down, look up and see who’s about.

Keep your eyes peeled for colourful locals including splendid fairy-wrens, red-winged fairy-wrens, western rosellas, red-capped parrots, honeyeaters, robins and cockatoos, along with plenty of waterbirds around the river.

💙 Spring is also breeding season for many species, so you might even spot a male fairy-wren showing off his spectacular breeding colours.

Grab the binoculars, take a wander along the river and see how many feathered locals you can find during your stay at BIG4 Bridgetown.

The warmer days are coming… but we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to cosy fire season just yet!

Step back in time as Balingup transforms into a medieval wonderland for a weekend packed with entertainment for the whole family.

Expect medieval performers, live music and dancing, battle reenactments, the Grand Parade, market stalls, delicious food and plenty of incredible costumes. And don’t miss one of the weekend’s highlights - the spectacular Burning of the Dragon on Saturday evening, complete with fire performers and drummers! 🔥🐉
