Very impressed with the talents and achievements of everyone recognised at the Riverland & Mallee Vocational Awards hosted by Rotary Club of Berri Inc.

Apprentice of the Year Thomas Otero completed his Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology at TAFE and works at Roly's Automotive Services.

As a car enthusiast who is always tinkering and helping his mates, a career as a mechanic was a natural choice for him.

It's so important that we have tertiary education options available so that more young locals can stay in the region to finish their studies.

What an amazing night celebrating young talent at the Riverland and Mallee Vocational Awards for 2025. Proudly put on by the Rotary Club of Berri & held at the Berri Hotel.

A huge congratulations to our very own Thomas Otero who took out the automotive industry award and was also named Apprentice of the Year for 2025.

We are so proud of Tom for his outstanding efforts throughout his apprenticeship and as he continues to grow into a skilled and dedicated automotive technician. We are so lucky to have him be a part of our team!

A big thank you to all the sponsors and Jarrad at TAFE for his continuing support to these young people. It was a truly amazing night showcasing incredible young talent coming through the Riverland and Mallee regions.
