Congratulations Hannah on passing your drive test, surprising yourself and getting it done on the first attempt. Nerves were always gonna be a part to play for you and we knew this when we started doing lessons some time ago. You finally decided that you needed this for your independence to get to and from work making your own life a bit easier. We did some lessons to get you on track making you feel a lot more comfortable amongst traffic and preparing you for what other people may do on the road. You loved the process for the reverse parallel park that I taught you and you remembered it brilliantly, but today on your test you had to demonstrate your three point turn and you nailed that as well. Your lane changes were good and for a brief moment you tripped over the speed limit but you brought that back immediately and the tester even made mention of this at the end as to how well you did doing that. It certainly is a year of big things for you and getting your licence is up there with your overseas trip later on this year.

Congratulations on a great test pass JJ! It's not often the tester is so impressed in the car that they tell you it's a 100% job but this happened for you!. You really did deliver that good of a drive. So we got wonder what all that stress was in the lead up to this don't we, we always think this is so much more complicated when really it's just a demonstration of all the hard work and practice you've done to get to this day. For you we did a few lessons in the lead up when you first got your licence, then we revisited it again as you got closer to your 18th birthday, including doing a City Drive Experience. It was pretty clear that you were a confident and safe driver being aware of all your surroundings and never taking a risk while driving. This translated perfectly on your test today. Thank you for trusting me to help deliver these results. Congratulations JJ.

Congratulations on passing your drive test Hamish. Being the third sibling in the same house we were carrying that same level of pressure of making sure we could get this pass on the first time. But we needn’t worry as your driving practice had covered off all situations in all conditions and this should be just a simple demonstration. You were asked to do the reverse parallel park in the first stage and you completed that to the satisfaction of the tester before heading up onto the highway doing some lane changes and navigating the roadworks. The test itself only took about 22 minutes and then some feedback on the results at the end as expected. I truly hope the aspirations of getting that Mach1 Mustang come to fruition as you take your gap year next year to earn some money.

Congratulations Logan. Waiting a week after your birthday to have all those celebrations and festivities done and dusted was good to focus on just the drive for the test today. With a couple of lessons just a fine tune those hours you’ve done with mum and dad, we soon had you ready and prepared for today. You seemed calm pretty comfortable and you knew exactly what the tester was looking for as this was just your driving style. You know how to keep things safe, calm and comfortable. Not long after leaving VicRoads the tester asked you to demonstrate your reverse parallel park which I think you did perfectly, and in the second stage of the test, your lane changes and speed were all exactly where they needed to be. Nothing was rushed. Nothing was nervous. Nothing was in a hurry. I hope you continue driving like this after being awarded your licence today.

Congratulations Marley on a terrific drive passing your test on your first attempt down at Vicroads Pakenham East. Catching up for the first time a couple of months ago to learn a couple of new skills and fine tune where you were at, we wanted to make sure we were going to be ready for the test as it came about. You’d already had a lot of driving experience and had spent quite a bit of time doing things well, we worked to make sure you knew all the technical details of the test and to make sure you were comfortable with both the reverse parallel and three point turn. The tester made you feel comfortable as we met them in the office, and on a beautiful sunny day you drove the test route just as school times were finishing. You delivered a great drive keeping the tester pretty comfortable.

Congratulations Michael and happy birthday.
It’s a pretty good present to get your P's on your birthday, though it usually adds a little extra pressure to the day. Your mum arranged a lesson for us after getting recommended through a friend and then it turned out I’d even helped out a couple of your mates get their licence. You already drove pretty well, you were just worried about a few things about the test so with a couple of lessons we soon had that sorted as well as doing a lesson around the test areas just before we started the test. You surprised yourself how calm and prepared you felt on test day, and were ready for the reverse parallel park when asked, but some other learners were practicing in the test area so this meant we had to do a three point turn instead. The school zones had just ended once we were on the highway so although we didn’t have to worry them, there was some roadworks for lawn mowing to work with. The tester made you feel comfortable in the car giving clear simple instructions and you followed every one of them to the letter. When we got back to VicRoads she couldn’t offer much feedback other than perhaps making your head checks look a little longer than you did, but she thought you drove really well and so did I! Congratulations Michael.

Congratulations Kurt on passing your drive test first time. It was a while ago when I helped your brother obtain his licence and here we are back at it again. We got you to that same level and making sure those hours were where they needed to be. We practiced in all conditions, all different sorts of weather and there was no exception on the day of your test, where the weather conditions changed about every 15 minutes. We weren’t sure if we’re going to rained on for your test drive but it didn’t matter because you drive very comfortable for all of it. There were a few other learners practicing on the parked cars so we were unable to do our reverse parallel park instead completing our three point turn exactly as we had practiced. You were confident in what you were delivering today and you drove very well with the added pressure of a delayed start as VicRoads were just running a bit late today. Congratulations Kurt!

Congratulations Yori and thank you for trusting me to help you get here. Having had your Indonesian drivers licence for quite some time but only driving scooters over there, you already held a Victorian learners permit, we just needed to get you a bit more "road sense" so you were confident on the road. We started with a few lessons to see what we needed to work on, and I suggested although you could pass the test, you wouldn't have felt comfortable on the road without a supervisor, something you reluctantly agreed. We soon had you a lot more comfortable driving a car. Life changed a little and you became the support driver for your dad which saw you in so many more situations teaching you some valuable driving skills and when you came back to see me again, we made plans for your test. We also did a two hour drive amongst traffic on the Monash and Eastern freeways to some of the local suburbs you will visit once you have your licence. This really set in stone that you are confident and comfortable driving a car. Today on your test it was simply a demonstration of all this as well as adding in a three point turn as requested. The results were exactly what we expected, passing on your first attempt! Congratulations Yori! A well deserved result today, and a confident driver now ready for the road. And thank you for the small gift too.
