Wedgetail Rack

Manufacturers of recreational and trade roof racks. Proudly Australian made since 1978 🇦🇺 We are specialist roof rack manufacturers.

Tradesman Roof Racks has been manufacturing since 1978 when it started in a small factory in Huntingdale, Victoria. As the range of roof racks expanded and the manufacturing capacity increased, we moved to larger factories and to the current Bayswater factory in 2010. Our factory is set up for that purpose and we are able to build roof racks to meet our customer’s individual needs at a competitive price. All of our roof racks are manufactured at the Bayswater factory and we are now one of the last remaining roof rack suppliers manufacturing in Australia. We source our raw materials from local suppliers and use modern metal cutting, forming and welding techniques and efficient production processes to produce cost effective products for commercial, off-road and SUV use.

Know your roof's load limit? 🤔

Your vehicle may have one. Your rack definitely has one. The lower number is your real limit, and it applies at speed, not parked.

Roof tent, awning, recovery boards, fuel. It adds up faster than you think, and the rack's own weight counts too.

Every Wedgetail rack is rated and mounted for your specific vehicle, so you know exactly where you stand.

Adventure Rack for the Prado 250: 150 kg dynamic, 525 kg static. That's your gear on the road, and you in the tent at camp.

Check your owner's manual, then find your fit on our website or ask your local reseller.

Roll it. Don't lift it. 🪜

Every ladder you load goes overhead, unless your rack does the work.

The Wedgetail Trade has a rear ladder roller built in. Rest the end on it, push, done.
