๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ Does your engine feel powerless or suddenly shut off?
Might be the sensors! Here I explain which ones to check or clean ๐Ÿงผ ๐Ÿ”ง

๐Ÿ”ฅ 1. Oxygen Sensor (O2)
Located in the exhaust system, this sensor measures the amount of oxygen in the gases that come out of the engine. If dirty or fails, the air-fuel mixture may be incorrect, causing loss of power or increased fuel consumption.
๐Ÿ“ Common Symptoms: Low engine, high smoke, excessive fuel consumption.

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ 2. MAF Sensor (Air Mass Flow)
This sensor detects how much air gets into the engine to adjust the fuel mix. If it's dirty, it can send wrong readings to the car computer.
๐Ÿ“ Common symptoms: pulls when accelerating, failure when igniting, unstable slowing.

โš™๏ธ 3. Stork sensor
Essential for synchronizing ignition and injection. If it fails, the engine may suddenly shut off or not even start.
๐Ÿ“ Common Symptoms: Engine Not Starting, Shutting Down When Running, Scanner Errors (P0335).

๐ŸŒก๏ธ 4. MAP Sensor (Absolute Pressure Multiple)
Measures the pressure within the intake multiple and helps calculate the amount of air that enters. A faulty MAP can confuse the ECU, causing bad combustion.
๐Ÿ“ Common Symptoms: loss of power, flashes, smoke black codes like P0106.

Rec Recommendation:
Before changing parts, thoroughly clean the sensors (especially the MAF and MAP). Use specific cleaners and follow manufacturer's recommendations.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ A timely diagnosis can save you a lot of money and headaches.
Check these sensors if your engine is feeling powerless or off ๐Ÿ”โš ๏ธ

The Top 10 Engine Sensors Every Car Owner Should Know

DTC Codes: P0100-P0104, P1100-P1106.
Oxygen (O2) Sensor: Monitors the oxygen levels in the exhaust system to adjust fuel mixture for optimal combustion.

Effects of a Faulty Sensor: Decreased fuel efficiency, increased emissions, engine misfires.

DTC Codes: P0130-P0167.
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS): Tracks the position of the throttle plate to regulate the throttle opening.

Effects of a Faulty Sensor: Poor acceleration, hesitation, unstable idle.

DTC Codes: P0120-P0124.
Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS): Measures the engine coolant temperature to aid in proper fuel delivery and cooling system control.

Effects of a Faulty Sensor: Engine overheating, inaccurate temperature readings, difficulty starting.

DTC Codes: P0115-P0119.
Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP): Detects the rotational speed and position of the crankshaft for ignition timing and fuel injection synchronization.

Effects of a Faulty Sensor: Engine stalling, difficulty starting, misfires.

DTC Codes: P0335-P0339.
Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP): Determines the position of the camshaft(s) for precise fuel injection and ignition timing.

Effects of a Faulty Sensor: Rough running, misfires, decreased power.

DTC Codes: P0340-P0344.
Knock Sensor (KS): Identifies engine knocking or detonation, allowing the ECU to adjust ignition timing to prevent damage.

Effects of a Faulty Sensor: Reduced engine power, increased fuel consumption, potential engine damage

DTC Codes: P0325-P0332.
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor: Measures the intake manifold pressure to calculate engine load and adjust fuel delivery.

Effects of a Faulty Sensor: Poor acceleration, rough idling, decreased fuel efficiency.
