Its focus is on Mazda brands (Mazda BT-50, CX-9, CX-5, CX-30), Mahindra brands and BAIC brands. Willowvale Motor Industries (WMI) was established in 1961 when Ford Motor Corporation of Canada imported a complete assembly plant to assemble Ford motor vehicles for the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. In 1989 a joint venture company was established between the Government of Zimbabwe, through the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), and two Japanese companies, Mazda Motor Corporation (providing vehicle kits and technology) and Itochu Corporation (financier/trading partner) were established. The new company started to focus on the Mazda brand, achieving significant gains in productivity. In the year 2015, the company adopted a new strategy, reverting to multi-franchising and contractual assembly with various partners, hence the change of name back to Willowvale Motor Industries (WMI) and the introduction of new brands like BAIC and Mahindra.

Hints for the Week- Transmitter Maintenance

If the buttons on the transmitter are inoperable and the operation indicator light does not flash, the battery may be dead. Replace with a new battery before the transmitter becomes unusable.

CAUTION!

✅Install the battery with the positive pole (+) facing down. Battery leakage could occur if it is not installed correctly.
✅When replacing the battery, be careful not to bend the terminals or get oil on them. Also be careful not to get dirt in the transmitter as it could be damaged.
✅There is the danger of explosion if the battery is not correctly replaced.
✅Replace the battery only with the same type battery.
✅Dispose of used batteries according to the following instructions.

✅Insulate the plus and minus terminals of the battery using cellophane or equivalent tape.
✅Never disassemble
✅Never throw the battery into the fire and/or water.
✅Never deform or crush.

Hints for the Week- Immobiliser System

The immobilizer system allows the engine to start only with a key the system recognizes.

If someone attempts to start the engine with an unrecognized key, the engine will not start, thereby helping to prevent the theft of your vehicle.

CAUTION

• Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

• To avoid damage to the key, do not:

o Drop the key
o Get the key wet
o Expose the key to any kind of magnetic field
o Expose the key to high temperatures on places such as instrument panel or bonnet, under direct sunlight
