The top deck has a full set of drop-down shade cloth to protect from any inclement weather/bugs and provide warmth for those sleeping on the top during winter. It has recently been refitted with new ‘fly by wire’ 235 HP Volvo Penta Engines, Ampprop propellors and a totally new rudder system. The boat is incredibly smooth, quiet and fuel efficient. Average time taken to get to the Ume river is 5 – 6 hours and trips to the Sengwa and beyond are possible and affordable. This is complemented by a. 10 KVA Victron Solar Inverter system which runs all fridges, freezers and fans. This means the generator does not have to be run during the day, resulting in great savings in diesel costs. To ensure you have a smooth enjoyable trip we have a fantastic crew who will be attending to your needs. Lead by Captain Cephas who is a legend on the lake, having been with the boat since its’ inception in the early ‘90’s. His knowledge of the lake and his fishing skills are unsurpassed! Assisting him is our able chef George (trained through Zim Sun) who can work wonders in the kitchen with your meal plan or one arranged with the caterers based in Kariba.
